Yesterday, April 26, was one year that I have had Benny. Before I had Benny, his previous life was far from glamorous. He lived in an all indoor kennel from the time he was a young pup. That is where his owner left him. She paid monthly, but never visited. Finally, she decided she wanted to give him and his 10 year old brother up. After four long months of waiting to get paperwork completed and bills paid off, Benny came home with me. Max, Buster, and Lady were not thrilled to have this young guy (a year and a half) coming into their home, but they dealt with it.
Now, a year later, after 8 months of house training, a beginner training class, an advanced training class (both of which he finished at the top of the class), and a CGC certificate, he will be entering his first agility trial in May after only 8 weeks of agility class. The trainer talked me into it. She is incredibly impressed with him and how well we work together and the trial is only jumps and tunnels. I am so proud of the little guy! And I can't wait for the trial! He has come so far in this past year, I just can't believe it.
Here are some pictures of the little guy:
