I can't really answer this because it is soooo dependant on my mood!

It's a good thing we all have "choice" cos we're all so different.  If it has a sad ending I DON'T go!!  I don't read books with sad endings either -- too much pain and suffering in the world already to my mind -- I don't 'entertain' myself that way.  Limiting, perhaps .. but a bad/sad/scarey movie will leave me shattered for weeks.

Stay away from "Pan's Labyrinth" then!  It was all of that and more.  I really enjoyed it because it made me think/feel/cry/cringe but OMG was it depressing!

I said I like movies that make me laugh.  I like to have fun when watching movies.  I love those comedies where they're so silly that you can quote lines from it forever.  Some favorites are: "The Sweetest Thing", "Robin Hood: Men in Tights", "Best in Show", and "Airplane!".  A new favorite movies of mine is "Juno", mostly because of the dialog.  Some of the by-play cracked me up.

I mostly like hilarious movies. Some of my faves are The Sweetest thing, dumb & dumber, ace ventura, mean girls...stuff like that!

I also love any girly movie. Think notebook, legally blonde, etc

I also like dramas. Air force one is one of my favorite movies! Some others off the top of my head are The Green Mile, Dragonfly, Pulp Fiction...

For enjoyment, I prefer either dramas or thrillers but it's movies that have made me cry that I remember the longest. Beaches is one of my favorites because it reminds me of my best friend and how sad I'd be to lose her.

Not sure if anyone saw or remembers it, but Day of the Dolphin was my all time favorite for many, many years and it definitely made me cry.

I like Russell Crowe....so....Gadiator and Cinderella Man.  I also love Fried Green Tomatoes, which is out of character for me, but it's been one of my faves for a long time.

I don't know if they are faves, but I can watch the Lord of the Rings or Harry Potters over and over...

I went for the Oooh and Awe factor.  I can love a movie for a day if it was funny, sad, scary whatever, but the ones that stick in my head are the ones that leave me breathless or at least take my breath away at some point.  Like HP OOTP, when they are all on the brooms flying Harry to headquarters.  Or even in the first HP when the first Quidditch game is played.  LOTR are another set that blow my mind.

I like all movies except for action...I'm not a fan of the huge explosions or fight scenes. I picked movies that make me cry, only because my all time favorite is "Ghost" and I cry like a baby every single time.

But, other movies I really like are "Just Friends", "The Family Stone", "Top Gun" (cry at that one too), and "Pumpkin".

I like the Oh Ah factor a lot but movies that make me think or realize something stick with me a lot. Like the movie "What the bleep do we know" stuck with me for a while. But I can't watch it all that often.. Makes my brain hurt. Lol. Now the HP or LOTR movies I can watch over and over (much to the BF's dismay) lol

It depends on my mood. I can't really say I prefer one genre over the other. But I like:

Comedy (My Cousin Vinnie, Mystery Men, Galaxy Quest, Jay and Silent Bob)
Chick Flicks (Notting Hill, Forces of Nature, Dragonfly, The Notebook)
Drama (Enemy of the State, Shawshank Redemption, Cuckoo's Nest, Rainman)
Thriller (Silence of the Lambs, Single White Female, The Shining, The Matrix)
Sci-Fi (2001, Close Encounters, Cocoon, Alien)

This really depends on my mood, but I said laugh/crack up because that is my current mood with movies. I have been watching funny movies lately, like Super Troopers, Jacka$$ the movie, Wedding Crashers, Old School, etc...

I never had an actual favorite all time movie, but I really like Katherine Heigl so I enjoy movies with her in it and I especially loved Knocked Up and 27 Dresses!!
