Rough Last 6 Months For Me....

Rough Last 6 Months For Me....

Well at the end of last year I had a rough couple of months and I'm finally I believe fully recovered....

I had two surgeries within 1 month and I was the most miserable I had ever been... It started out, I had foot surgery scheduled becaues I had sweat glands on my feet that weren't working properly (its very hard to describe... I thought they were planters warts because it was like millions of tiny little pebbles stuck in the bottom of my feet) but come to find out, they were sweat glands that weren't doing their job... I had to have them cut out of both feet... The doc said it was the most he had ever done at one time... I had both feet done at once to cut down on the time I would miss from work... I had a total of 70 cut/burned out... I was on crutches and then surgical shoes for a total of two months... And I crawled around our apartment on knee pads for weeks because my knees were so bruised...

    Here are some pics...

This was the good foot... I couldn't bear to unwrap the other one.... The other foot was twice the stitches and burn holes....

THEN... I hadn't been off crutches 2 days (i was still in my surgical shoes), i started feeling very bloated and my stomach got so swollen and i felt like i needed to burp but I couldn't... So i went to the doc after those few days, hoping for some ant-acids or something ANNNNDDD I was admitted to the hospital for x-rays because the doc was concerned because he couldn't hear any noises coming from my stomach...

Sure enough, it was my gallbladder... I had a huge stone - the doc said it was bigger than the size of the end of my thumb... which explained alot because a few months before that, I was having violent vominting episodes and i always excused them thinking i had a week stomach...

I was stuck in the hospital from a tuesday until friday with NOOOOOOO FOOD... none... all i was given was tons of ice chips and nothing to drink... I had so many cat scans on my stomach it was unreal... They said my gallbladder was loaded with stones... I couldn't walk on my feet barely (remember I am still recovering from the foot surgery and had just began to walk again) because i was so weak and they had me doped up with so much pain medicine I couldn't tell you who i was... it was insane!! I had my first panic attack in my life... My whole faced tensed up to where I had lock jaw because i was so stressed from all the physical challenges my body was going through and I wasn't at my home, i was stuck in a hospital waiting to have surgery...

And believe me when I tell you that I was not a pleasant person to speak to during this week... haha! my poor DH stayed every night with me in the hospital and was at my beck and call... through both surgeries... he was such a great guy during this... and i doubted him... i thought he would be lazy and not help me at all but he really showed me how much he loved me....

Here is how pathetic I was... HAHA!! I couldn't have told you my name in this pic... I don't even remember DH taking this pic...

All this junk hooked up for 5 days...

Here is me after my surgery and they pumped my stomach with whatever it is so they can have room to work in there... look how bloated... it looked like a balloon... and where the bandaids are, those are all staples under there...

And here is the DH sleeping on the floor by me after i was released from hospital (I slept on the couch because it hurt to bad to climb into our bed with the staples...) He slept at night and took naps during the day on the floor next to me in case i needed anything... So cute...

my body i think is finally getting back to normal... **Praying for a healthy year for me this year**

    Thanks for looking :)

Oh my goodness!  What an ordeal!  I had my gall bladder taken out when I was 22.  It sucked big time.  I had a 6 month old at home too.  But at least I could walk.

And um.... are you trying to make the rest of us fall for your DH?  First the cutie pics, now this?  LOL.  Despite it all, I think you're a lucky girl!

I am so glad you are getting back to normal.  How awful for you!!!  Healthy vibes coming your way...

That totally STINKS!!!!! I'm glad you're doing a little better, and I'm glad your DH has been taking good care of you. :) My BF is kind of the same way - typically the last one to think about doing something like folding laundry, but if I'm really sick, suddenly he springs into action like the Superman of household chores. Silly boys!

I sure hope you're on the road to normalcy! I can relate. (I had the same gall bladder surgery, but I knew about it ahead of time.)

Your DH is SO SWEET! Lucky girl. Wink  I'm sure you know that.

Healthy vibes coming your way! (I could use a few myself if you get any extras. Smile  )
