Our breeder finally sent me the photo she promised of the puppies at 1 week old. She said she missed the 2 week photo, but is going to take a 3 weeks photo sometime in the next few days, which she will hopefully send to me. I was so not that fussed about photos until I saw this picture and suddenly it hit home that one of those puppies is going to come home with me in 6 weeks! I'm so excited I can barely contain myself. We're going to go and oggle puppies on the first Saturday in May, when pups will be nearly 6 weeks old. That's the weekend my animals are all moving back in with me. Hooray!
For those that missed the first "My puppy is born" post, these guys are Finnish Lapphunds. There's 4 girls and 1 boy. We're hoping for the boy, which is one of the black and tan pups. Tan on Lappies comes in when they get older, so it's hard to say what the patterns will be like, but our breeder tells me it looks like he might have a pretty face.
I was secretly hoping the boy was the brown or sable puppy, but hey, who's complaining? It doesn't matter to me, and actually I think the sable pup is probably going to be incorporated into the breeding program because that colour is uncommon. And I have to say that two black and orange and white dogs look good together. 
My poor mother is going to lose her fairy steed team when Penny comes to live with me again, though. Penny and Pyry are thoroughly adorable together, and they often walk shoulder to shoulder so that you get the urge to jiggle the leashes and say "mush!".
