Mindless Chatter - Tues

Salem's Mom - Belle has a mis-shaped mouth and just last year I found out why. Imagine my feeling when I learned it was because her baby canines hooked with other teeth, and if we had her baby teeth pulled it would not have been that way Sad I felt bad. However Belle eats fine with the mouth she has so I don't worry.

I also really hope Salem does NOT have kc. However if he does that does not mean Cheeza will get it. Belle got it bad, and Maxine never did. It is a funny virus. I just hope it is dust or allergies and not kc, that is not fun. I AM SENDING GOOD VIBES!

Apparently there are guidelines about shipping citrus! http://www.aphis.usda.gov/newsroom/content/2006/12/holiday_citrus.shtml.

    I knew I wasn't crazy!

If it makes you feel better removing the baby canines may not have helped. We removed Cheza's babies in time, but the adult teeth still came in messed up. My vet said she has never seen anything like it. Her bottom canines deflect inward instead of out and its damaging the top of her mouth. The vet said normally its the whole bite that is messed up and its a genetic thing, but with Cheza its just the bottom canines which in turn has messed up her bite. Doesn't make me feel any better that she has a mystery mouth. The dentist will most likely file the canines down and then cap them to reshape. I have a feeling that my wallet will be feeling much lighter by the end of the day on Thursday. I didn't even ask for a ball park. I don't want to know. I'm going to get it done regardless so at least I can not worry about the cost for a few days.

I'm home now with the dogs having lunch and so far Salem seems a bit tired but there isn't any coughing. He may just have allergies. This time of year normally gets him and his paws have been itching him so that may be what the coughing was from this morning. I'm hoping for the best.

A little nutty, but NEVER crazy!!  Stick out tongueWink

Good thing to know, too, because I thought about shipping all the godforsaken grapefruit that are hovering above my pond, just waiting to drop in.  I personally want to send them to Hell-o.  My poor goldfish were gagging on degrading blossoms that had fallen into the pond.  The blossoms smelled BEAUTIFULLY, but once they hit the pond... UGH!  Death and decay smell wretched!

I thought you couldn't ship citrus INTO Florida... we send my granny oranges every year from an orange place down the street from my house, she lives up north in WI.

Oooooo! {bouncing up and down in her seat hand waving in the air like a mad woman}  You can ship the grapefruit to meeeeeee!!!!!!!

haha! I'm not really a grapefruit fan.... not at all acutally. We've got a tree in our yard, but I'm not sure when it blooms. One of our orange trees is getting ready to have it's oranges, just finished flowering. Love the smell... but my allergies HATE the pollen that comes with it!

mmmmmmmmmmmm I love pink or ruby red grapefruit.  The prices have been really high these days though Sad

Well I've been very busy and this afternoon I finally had a moment to get into some quiet computer work and I hear Bugsy banging away on the front storm door (glass).  He doesn't normally do this so I went down to check it out and he is scurrying away.  I gathered that he had hit the real door which then started to close on him but no.

OH NO!  A skink aka lizard had come in under the glass door and the chase and hunt was on. B chased it into the living room which has two sofa's and several tables.  This darn thing kept going under furniture with B insanely furious trying to catch it.  I'd lift a sofa to try and catch it and he would be going after it which would make it run in another direction.  This went on for best part of an hour, there was no way I was leaving it in the house and dummy caught it twice and flung it out of his mouth (bad taste I suspect).  DH walked in and Bugsy is foaming at the mouth and h on fire I'm sweating there is furniture everywhere LOL What a picture.  Anyway we finally got the thing and it was definitely worse for wear.

Times like these I wish B had some killer in him, it could have been over in minutes.
