Does this dog look like a wolf mix to you, introducing Cricket... (outdoorschik)

At the vet today a woman swore up and down Cricket was a wolf mix... I said no but she obviously didn't believe me. I have sled dogs... she normally lives at the sled dog kennel I work for, but is here on crate rest due to a possible tear/rupture to the CCL. She's loving it(except for the leg of course).

Thanks :)... i don't know why that woman said that today, when I explained she was an alaskan husky, the woman still said that she MUST be a wolf mix. I work with mom and dad of this litter daily and they are certainly not wolves... sigh.

She's beautiful!  Her coloring is what is bringing about the wolf comment, I'm sure.  With all the cross breeding that goes into Alaskan Huskies, perhaps there could be some very dilute wolf in her.  She looks like a really sweet dog to me and I'd have called her an Alaskan Husky if you had merely shown me the pic!

Wow, she is gorgeous!  I think her coloring as well as her face makes her look wolf-like.

Totally random and OT comment ahead: my grandma had that same linoleum in her kitchen.  Ahhh, grandma's kitchen, I miss it.

The pup is rather handsome, wolf genes or not.

haha.. someone just HAD to point out the linoleum...we call it puke green and orange. It was there when we bough this house... along with the PINK radiator covers and wood paneling. yuck! I hate this house just enough not to fix it and to plan on selling it as is to the next unsuspecting buyer :)

I believe you are right, the coloring is what prolly got the comment... she has some collie or german shepherd in there as well as some hound and of course siberian. Mom is brown with a thinner coat, and dad has the thick coat and mane you see a bit on cricket and more on the other pups in my other pics. it is so neat to run a team of mom and dad in lead with my pups bringing up the rear :)... cute I say.. but I am biased.
