    iphone!!

Its decided... Im going to get an iphone.

I've wanted one ever since they came out, but I have verizon cell phone service.

For my birthday, on April 2nd, my fiance bought me an ipod touch. I love it.

My contract with verizon is up on April 14th... so it got me thinking... why not just pay an extra $100 and get an iphone? Why renew my plan with verizon and get a new phone, when I could have it all in one??

Im a little hesitant to leave verizon, as they really do have great service... but... I think Im just gonna go for it. BF is going to stay with verizon, cause he likes his phone and that he can get tv on it (he works overnights and doesn't have television there, so its perfect for him).

The extra added bonus is that the iphone will work while Im in Asia this summer... yay!

DH has an ipod touch and loves it.  We'd love the iphone but we also have verizon and it's either the entire family plan switches or none of us do, and we're cool with verizon.  Sigh.  the touch is amazing, though!

I think the Iphones are cool. I work on a Mac at work, and I love that the commercials look so much like my 'puter. I have AT&T cell service and I have been VERY happy with it. I believe they were once exclusive with Iphone not sure anymore. Just for what it is worth, if you have to go AT&T I thought I would add my 2¢.

I've decided to get an iTouch but not the iPhone.  I actually reduced my cell plan to a pay as you go because I use it so infrequently.

I think the iTouches and iPhones are soooo nifty.  (Yes, that is my word of the day...nifty)

I have an iPhone and I love it.  At first I didn't like that you had to use your finger to type or do anything on it.  I have nails and that doesn't work, it has to be skin.  I thought the letters were too close together and i made too many typing errors.  Then I turned the phone sideways and it really spaces out the keyboard more.  Love it!  The camera is fantastic on it too.  I am forever taking photos of my pups while on our walks.

I strongly STRONGLY suggest that you wait for the 3G version. I have an iPhone and like it... like it, but not love it. I wanted to love it, but I just can't. A lot of the features that irk me are things that I could do on my old Blackberry that the iPhone won't do, but I won't go into detail on those unless e-mail handling is important to you.

The most annoying thing is the speed of AT&T's network. Having the internet on your phone worthless if you can't use it, which in most cases you can't because the EDGE network is so slow. If you're on a wifi connection it's great but otherwise you're screwed. This problem should be fixed with the 3G version.

I also have a problem typing on it. While riding in a vehicle or even walking my finger tends to bounce inadvertently on the keyboard - sometimes hitting the wrong button or two keys at once and hitting two keys at once can lock it up or at least freeze it for a few seconds. This was a particular problem recently when I was trying to dial 911 with shaky hands. Not to mention that to get the the keypad screen can take you through as many as five screens - doesn't seem like much but it gets annoying.

Edited: I think that parts of Asia only have 3G service.
