Ben showing off his lampshade...

See fellow doggies? This is what happens when you run into barbed wire. Don't do it, it hurts and it makes mamas worried sick.

He's fine, just a cut on the top of his head near his ear. He didn't even know about it, I don't think, until after we got home and I tried to clean it. Then he started pawing at it and I was terrified he was going to rip it with a claw, so off to the e-vet we went. No stitches needed (I didn't think there would be) but he got some antibiotics and the lovely collar you see modelled for you here this evening to keep his paws away from it.

Oh, poor guy! He does look awfully pitiful (and cute) in his new collar, though... We have barbed wire here and I never thought about these guys running into it... Kind of scary. Hope Ben's better soon!

Owie, Ben! you have the boo boo face down pat. Work it for all you can. Maybe you'll get some special goodies for it. Tell your mama to give you a kiss right between those gorgeous brown eyes for me.

Aww, Ben-Ben! Those close-up shots really show off how handsome you are... especially when you are peeved. You look almost like a brooding movie star! :)
