Cats and Dogs...

These two have a love/chase relationship but sometimes it's the cat chasing the dog.

And, yeah, I know the cat is big...he's only 16 lbs!!!!

Martini is a very jealous dog and hates for the cat to be near me but otherwise they are ok together.

What a great thread!  I am so envious, because I want so badly for my cats and dogs to be integrated.  Pre-Heidi it was possible.  My fault completely as I didn't introduce Heidi to the cats when she was a pup.  Stupid, stupid, stupid. 

I absolutely love the picture of Martini and Boris.  That one is a framer.

 This is the only picture of our cat, Topper and Mick I can find.  It was taken in Feb 1991.  Topper was 10 months old, and Mick about 7-8 weeks.  Some of you know Mick has been gone for almost 2 years now :(.  Topper will be 18 in April.

Funny you mentioned pigs ears- Topper used to walk in Mick's crate and take his pig ears right out of his mouth.

This is an old photo - 19 years to be precise - of Jesse, our female yellow lab mix and Franklin, our petite female grey cat.  It's scanned and not the greatest quality, but a great moment, I think.  They played constantly and sometimes quite vigorously!  But when the playing was done, Frankie would adminster some TLC grooming.  Franklin has been gone 7 years this week and Jesse 4 years in January.  They were love personified with each other, people and other animals, too.  Easy, lovely pets.
