How Do You Explain This? Elephant Paints Self-Portrait

I would figure, Elephants are intelligent...and their trunks can pick up a single blade of grass...so likely MORE dextrous and small motor capable than your average preschooler.

She has lots of models walking around and perhaps who knows...has been trained to paint this exact picture over and over....or variants on said same. She is obviously a trained elephant in a foreign country (looks like?) and they train them to do some pretty complicated stuff elsewhere just as a draft animal.

Many explanations are possible....but perhaps she just has a means of putting to paper what she sees daily? I would assume like dogs elephants have a whole range of "talent" from physical to mental.

Neat video, she seems a happier elephant than most in captivity.

That is amazing and to me it just proves that animals are not as dumb as humans try and say they are.

Maybe she painted a self portrait because the monkeys would not work for peanuts???

Seriously, those lines are so smooth!  there must have been some practice somewhere.  Me thinks though that she has some slight misconseption as to her actual height if this is a true self portrait.  Hehe.
