    Random peeing? Need help.

OK, so last night and today I have noticed Benny sort of peeing while he's walking in the house.  He has been great with his potty training for a while now, and this seems different.  The first time this happened was last night. I was walking behind him and he sort of stopped and started walking again, and there was pee on the floor, I almost stepped in it.  It just happened again, twice!  I was preparing dinner for everyone and he peed in the diningroom and then as he was walking into his ex-pen to eat.

Could this be a UTI?  Should I make a vet appt. or can I just take in his urine so they can test it (calling them first, of course)?  Please help, I have never had a dog with a UTI so I don't know the signs, or maybe it's something else completely!

    Thanks!

I would certainly make a vet appointment. It sounds kinda like a UTI, but you can never be too sure.

It *could* be a UTI ... because maybe he's drinking SO much that he just can't hold it.

It could also be that he's not able to control his bladder ... which could be something else entirely.  I'd go TO the vet and either have them meet you outside at your car or something so they can get a fresh sample.  I'm thinking they may want to see how much of a stream he produces (is his bladder full all the time or not holding anything?)  Typically loss of control is times when they are relaxed (sleeping) or excitement.

Is it really dilute?  Is it really dark/stinky or not at all?  Lay a paper towel down on it and see if it's got color (blood).

How old is he?  Sorry -- I can't remember.

He is about 2 years and 7 months.  And it seems to be quite a bit coming out.  I will try the paper towel next time it happens.
