Haven't felt this great in a LONG time!

Haven't felt this great in a LONG time!

I complain a lot in Julie's chatter threads so I feel like I should post some good things for a difference.  This afternoon I FINALLY passed the second of two certification tests I've been trying to pass for a while.  I was an A student in HS and college but these tests were HARD.  I don't care if I just got lucky!  I finally passed both so now I have the certification and will get a raise b/c I move up a level/title at work.

I'm also happy for several other reasons:

    • DH's parents are coming for Easter and THEY are bringing/cooking all the food.
    • Friday is a mandatory day off work b/c I work for a Christian college (mmm religious holidays!).
    • I helped save a dog by getting her from a shelter, keeping her for a day, getting her to the vet, and grooming her.  Tomorrow she is on her way to Hy Hope (I think it's called) rescue in Bay City, MI where she will rehab from being abandoned.
    • The experience with said dog has made me so much more appreciative of my own dogs and how few issues I've had to deal with.
    • I met a friend for lunch and she said I look "too skinny".  Wow I haven't heard that since I was like 11 years old!
    • I've lost 23 lbs since New Year's so I get to eat a little more and exercise a little less.  I am happy with my body and can't wait to wear my swim suits in Florida next month.
    • I agreed to do a home visit for a GSD rescue and didn't want to b/c I'm kind of shy and find those things a little invasive, but the family was really nice and now we are e-mailing back and forth about training and GSDs.  The puppy they wanted got adopted so I'm helping them find another or find a good breeder.
    • I got through the HUGE pile of dirty laundry in the basement!  I CAN SEE THE FLOOR!!
    • We got a new bed and are getting rid of the old one.  Long story, but the old one collapsed all the time, which caused obvious problems and concerns for a newly married couple.  The new one is gorgeous and it's solid oak.

Yay for you!  That's a bunch of reasons to feel great, and I remember the bed issue (IKEA?), so I'm glad you're taking care of that. I remember when a friend said I looked to skinny too and I could feel myself glowing with joy Big Smile. You should celebrate and have something decadent to eat and then burn it off on the elliptical Wink

Oh, awesome Liesje!  I envy you on the bed issue!  (And the too skinny...but I'm working on that. My son is only seven months, after all.  :oP)

Yeah, congrats!  Losing weight is a great feeling!  I just hit my 10 pound mark today in weight watchers and think I have finally gotten myself really on track.  I saw a pic of the bed I think on your blog and I LOVE it!  It is beautiful!  I love looking at your pics...they are fabulous!

Isn't it amazing how rewarding accomplishments can feel.  Sometimes you just need a little push and it sounds like you gave yourself one and now you are feeling how wonderful it is to get there and do some of the things that are important to you.

Wow thanks!  Hey I should add "new camera" to my list above.

I guess it's a little too good to be true.  A co-worker was helping me do some web stuff to get Google Apps on my domain.  Now NONE of my sites are resolving (hence the broken URLs in my sig and the pic not showing up).  I'm panicking!!
