Mommy wasn't amused

Hi guys, Shane here! I just had to write and tell you all about this neat joke I played on mommy last night. I am still laughing! Yesterday Mommy and Daddy went shopping to get some food for us, well and them too. Mommy came back with a new ball for me. I am not the type to play with toys, but this ball is really cool. Mom says its a soccer ball. Anyway, I played with it all evening. They had fun watching me play with it. Well a little after that dad went to work and mommy went to bed. I laid there for the longest just thinking about my ball and wondering if it missed me. Well after it was all dark and quiet I just HAD to go and check on it. The darn thing was hiding from me. I was so excited I found it I took it to mommy in her bed to show her......Well, Mom wasn't too happy, something about it being 3am and we needed to sleep. But I wanted to play! She threw it for me and I brought it back, I have never done that and I thought she would like that too. NOPE, she was still sleepy, so I kept dropping it on her head to get her attention. THATS when she said those not nice words about the bad idea of getting the ball. Oh well I just took it back to the living room and played, and played and played. The next thing I know mommy is getting ready to leave to go to where she gets paid...I think they call it work or something. Well, I just wanted to tell you how much fun I had last night...Now I am going to find my ball.

Hey, Shane, Pofi here. Soccer balls are the best, aren't they? I'd play soccer with you anytime - it's been my fave sport since I was just a little heel nipper. I've got lots of my own soccer balls, but Daddy has ones I can't play with. Hope they toss it for you lots cause even though it is fun by yourself it is even more fun to play with someone.

Mommy's are so weird about sleep, aren't they? When I try to wake mine up, she pulls the covers over her head and makes funny noises. You're lucky that your mom threw the ball for you.

I sometimes worry about my mommy. She gets cranky when I try to play with her. You gotta play when the mood hits. She just doesn't understand that. I really don't understand why she gets cranky when the zoomies hit & she's napping. I'm just trying to play & sometimes I stomp on her belly. She says something about zoomies & beds not mixing. I don't understand.
That ball thing sound really cool. I wish I had one.

My mommy hasn't graduated me up to a soccer ball yet being that I am so tiny, it sure does sound fun though. For now I play with a cloth rattle bunny and a little bear stuffed animal, my mommy says it looks funny because the toys are almost as big as I am. I'll definitely have to try that soccer ball thing out though.

I dont have a soccer ball. Mommy bought me a bagsitball. I think thats what its called. the first one I had was yellow and it had a big happy face on it. Its not so happy now! I popped it and then made a big hole in one side for carrying. Mommy had to chase me to get it back. Then she got me a new one. It was orange but that was ok. I could carry my Smiley around and kick the new one. But then I popped that one too and took it to Ceasar. So now I'm on my third bagsitball and it has a hole but there is still lots of air in it so mommy wont get me a new one yet. its ok though cause I can still kick it while I carry Smiley! Smiley used to be bigger than me!

Shane, you sound like a stinker. Mama calls me a stinker when I do things like that. You'd better behave tonight or you're going to get locked in your kennel without that soccer ball. [sm=eek.gif]

That sounds like fun. I wish my mom and dad got me a soccer ball... But that is okay, I like to go outside at 3am, sometimes I have to potty other times I don't. I try and get mom to take me out, but she just lays there, doesn't even move when I whine and nudge the bed. But... Dad gets up. Ha ha ha...[

[sm=rotfl.gif] Hey! That's how it is here too. I figured out that when I want something, Daddy is the person to ask. I don't know if this will work with your Daddy but when I give my Daddy kisses or I cuddle with him in bed while he's laying down, he gives me a treat! Mommy says I have my Daddy tied around my little paws!

Shh... don't tell, but I have both mom and dad wrapped around my paws. Apparently I'm the cutest puppy in the world

But, I get confused, at 3am my Dad is always grumbling about her and how mom can sleep through a Tomahawk Flyby and how i'm an annoying little '&#@!" who better need to go outside and not just wanna play. I just look at him with my big eyes and cock my head... i've learned that that will melt ice faster then a snowball in #$&&. hee hee hee And they talk about training me. HA!
I'm glad to know that i'm not the only one who's successfully trained my humans.

ps. I am a really heavy sleeper and am not even aware of when my DH takes George out in the wee hours of the morning.

I love soccer balls!! My mom hasn't gotten me any new ones lately because every time she does I pop them in less than one minute, even my basketballs. Mom seems to understand that I love to play with them like that and lets me keep them for a while until I start shredding them into little pieces.

Ugh! My furless brudder stuffed Smiley with snow today. It made him really heavy and it took me half an hour to unstuff him! I hope he doesnt do that again!

We have a soccer ball at play group. I steal it from the big dogs and run fast. Then, I stop and just flash them that neener, neener, neener look and they try to catch me but they can't.
