All in a day's work (Liesje)

So the inside of the house is such a mess, I've been in denial about cleaning.  To put it off even longer, I spent probably an hour and a half scooping poops in our yard.  I filled a ten gallon bucket twice.  I was also scooping on Thurs and Fri when the snow first melted.  I'm finally making some headway!  Yeah I was lazy during the winter.  Our yard is HUGE and most of it sort of sinks in the middle.  Right now it's like the Everglades, without the green.  Kenya was "helping" me scoop the poops and got totally plastered in mud and slime.  When I had enough scooping, we went straight to the dog baths at Chow Hound.  She's not too keen on baths but she got a raw meaty bone out of the deal.  Oh and I got her a new collar and lead.  For shows/trials I wanted a collar and lead that's as invisible as possible (we have one more leg in RN and haven't started the CD yet).  For the collar I got a black nylon choke, but it's only 3/8" thick.  The lead is just a black nylon toy dog lead.  When we got back I was still overwhelmed by the mess in the house so I decided to clean a patch of the yard.  The area closest to the house is higher up and isn't such a soggy mess, however the landlords never did any sort of leaf removal in the fall.  I raked a postage stamp size piece of yard and put the jumps and weaves back together.  By then, Kenya was dry and whining at the door to come out so we did some agility practice.

The new agility area (you can sort of see the edge where the leaves are).

Towards the back, you can see why Kenya needed a bath

Kenya licks her lips now that she can finally go agility again!

Kenya is such a good girl. I told my DH and our neighbour: "Look guys, that's what I'm going to put in the yard for Thor to try agility" and they both said: "Yeah right! I will pay if Thor ever jumps something like that" Sad So, I will stay here looking at beautiful Kenya...

Awesome action shots. She looks so happy doing that! I did some agility today too with my dogs. I so need a new camera.

Props to you for spring cleaning, and Kenya looks beautiful!  She's so graceful going over the jumps.

    Go pretty Kenya, go!

Kenya is beautiful and clearly thrilled to be able to play in the backyard again. You're so lucky to have a large yard like that.

    Oh, gorgeous!
