    ever had "wagyu" beef?

So i'm looking at a menu online of where i'm eating dinner tonight. I was reading about "wagyu" kobe style beef on there, and it's $49 for 8 oz! i imagine it's pretty good...just wondering if anyone has tried it, and if so is it worth it?

... i'll probably just stick with my oscar style filet

Never heard of "wagyu" style but I know that Kobe beef is highly prized and very, very expensive.

Wagyu is the type of cattle, and it is raised in Kobe, Japan.  It is supposed to be so tender that it melts in your mouth.

Oh it's worth it! I've had it at Cut in Beverly Hills.  Even if you aren't a steak fan you can really taste the difference.

Wagyu is a breed of cow originally from Japan. Kobe beef is Wagyu beef that comes from Kobe, Japan. Wagyu beef can come from anywhere, most often domestic. Yes I have had it and it is absolutely malt in your mouth. Now you know!
