    Household tips

Well, I managed to get my deep fryer clean with the help of a magic eraser, but now for the filter for the cooktop fan.  I didn't have ammonia, so I soaked it in Dawn, which helped but it needs more.  Any ideas (besides cleaning more often)?  I hate cooked on grease...

Maybe you have a question about something that you have gripes about and would like to add to this thread!

Vinegar is often my answer to anything involving grease....

Also, meat tenderizer on any blood stains does wonders.  (Yes, I cut Morrison's quick by accident and he ran all over the house).

I wonder if you spray it with some of that non-stick cooking spray it might at least make it easier to just wipe it off instead of having to soak and scrub it. Good luck. Some days I wish I was more like Martha Stewart instead of "Maxine." Smile

Try some baking soda in water to soak. Or even in the vinegar. Be aware there's a "foamy" chemical reaction between the two, but it's harmless. In fact, it might help.

Ink pen mark on something? Like a chair? Use a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol and roll it over the mark. It disappears!
