    Teddi's Creeping Me Out!!!!

So its almost 1am here, and wayyy past his bedtime but Teddi will not go to sleep!! He keeps wanting outside, I let him out and he sits down in the snow. Everytime I open the door to let him in he walks away back out in the yard. DH checked out front and the side deck and there's no animals or anything. Each time we get him in the house, he won't lay down on his bed in our room, he keeps laying by the front door. Now that he has officially creeped me out and into thinking something is going to happen tonight, I am now awake. I'm in the couch in the living room and he's at my feet awake. I'm not sure what's wrong with him or if he's trying to tell me something.

Eeeek!  That is creepy.  I hope he's just being restless & it's nothing.

    Did he ever settle down?

It could very well mean a storm is coming.

He eventually did settle down. I sat up in the living room for awhile (because then I couldnt sleep!) and he finally fell asleep at my feet, so once he did that I took him in the bedroom. I think he was really restless but it was so creepy what he was doing, made me nervous! haha. We don't live in a bad neighborhood so I knew that if someone was lurking around they would be barking. I thought there was a dead animal out by the end of our fence the way he kept going over to this one spot...but nope, I think he was just restless

I know the feeling. I don't know if it good or bad when our dogs are "suspicious".

Years ago DH worked until early AM hours, I had gone to bed and had our two dogs on the bed with me (Shadow and Kayla). I was sound asleep when both dogs bolted off the bed, down the hall barking. At first I thought DH was home, but the bark was different and I realized the hair on the back of my neck was actually standing up. So I get out of bed and go to the front door to see if DH is pulling in, no. I notice our Christmas lights are not on (they were when I went to bed). I put both dogs in our back yard (fenced) so if there was an "intruder" they could meet my dogs. Shadow was a great protector, Kayla not so. Then I looked around the house via windows. I saw tracks in the snow to the outlet next to our house, they unplugged the lights and cut the cord. Nice! DH arrived as I made this discovery. We called and reported to the police. They did drive around the neighborhood.

The next night I was pretty freaked, though mild we had been "violated" so I shut both dogs in my bedroom. The vandals came and destroyed the lights on the other side of the house this time and since the dogs were shut in my room they didn't hear it. Sad

I was amazed how different the bark was coming out of my dog that day. It was the same recently with Belle and the "survey takers". She knew something was not right. I trust my dogs instincts.

Jenny had he been walked that day? Could he have been asking you to take him for a run or something? Just throwing some ideas out there.
