I would like you all to meet Rocky. This was his first photo, posted by the Shelter's foster family that rescued him from the 20 degree temps on January 22. I fell in love with him the minute I saw him on-line. I visited with the Foster Mom by phone several times and we went to meet him on February 2nd. Because we drove 125 miles to see him, and she had 14 Foster pets at the time she agreed to let us take him home with us that day. She also admitted that she and the family were getting very attached. The foster family had given him the name GUY and guessed his age to be about 8 weeks when we picked him up. She thought he might have some Newfie in him because of his size, look and temperment, possibly some lab also. Apparantly a day or 2 before we got ROCKY (our name for him) 2 more pups showed up at the shelter looking very much like him. One was a female Black w/white feet/nose and another male that looked just like Rocky. He has webbeed feet, a wonderful disposition and has already stolen our hearts. We were not quite sure if we were ready for a new addition so soon after loosing our precious Shadow but how could we resist this darling face?? He is adapting very well to his new home. Just a little note; if you believe in fate, destiny or devine intervention, Rocky was rescued by the Foster Mom on the same night we lost our sweet Shadow.
We are having some trouble with our camera, as soon as we can I will send more pics. Rocky is very healthy, is growing like a weed and has gained 9 lbs since we brought him home.
