I'm sorry, I have to laugh. Do you know how many students attend UC Berkeley? Hint: a lot. Most of them are not liberal, or using drugs. They are very smart and ambitious people.
I would agree that most of the students are not radical liberal's and the majority of what is (IMO) negative press coming out of the university and the city would be from the leaders and not the students or the citizens. As a matter of fact they have a conservative group of students at Berkeley although I do not know what the ratio is.

And it is also my opinion that Code Pink is nothing like a "terrorist" group. The T word. Its the new black, an easy way to shut down dissenting opinion.
Depends on the definition of terrorist. if you define it as "An agent of a sub-national group who uses premeditated, politically motivated violence against non-combatant targets" then they would not be terrorists. I cannot find any references to violence on the net.
I did find some things on the net that would cause me to be unable to support them in any way.
The leader openly spoke out and supported Al Queda insurgents in Iraq
They have called our soldiers terrorists
They have given money to the other side
I have not had time to research these findings so I cannot attest to the validity of the accusations, but from what I know now I would label most of them anti war protestors with perhaps a few in leadership being radical and extreme in their views and actions.

- Once again, the disclaimer: I think the City Council's actions are silly. I don't support them. I think any and all acts of vandalism or violence are wrong. I am not a member of Code Pink, or any other leftist organization. I did not obtain a degree from UCB, I don't smoke marijuana, crack cocaine, nicotine, or cloves. My mental abilities have declined with age. -
Ditto that, especially the declining mental abilities part, and the declining eyesight as well as other declining things that I can not mention on the forumn. It is amazing how everything "declines" with age.
