gas problem!!

• gas problem!! tammygirl06 Posted : 4/9/2007 8:59:06 PM Hello All,   I have a silly and rather embarassing question for you all.  Our 3 month old puppy bear seems to have some REALLY bad gas.  I mean he will be in his crate and then all of a sudden here comes the rotten egg smell.  We feed him good quality puppy food from the dog food center here in town.  If I'm not mistaken it's called Blackwood brand puppy food for large breeds.  He seemed to just start this only a few weeks ago.  What can be causing such bad gas? and is there anything that I can do to either stop it or make it alittle easier to breath in.  I know gas is a natural part of the body but it's getting to the point of constant.  Thanks for any advice. • niki ducharme Posted : 4/9/2007 10:06:39 PM A friend of mine told me that dogs that have to bend down farther to reach their food and water tend to swollow more air which causes gas...and lots of it. • workingpaws Posted : 4/11/2007 1:38:09 AM Food allergies can surface at any time. Have you used different treats? All of mine get horrible gas with freeze dried liver treats. [:'(] I bet it's his regular food though.
