Need ideas for a research topic

What about the (brain fart) BSL???  Is that right, about the discrimination of Pitbulls?  I know it's not just them, but it seems that way.  That would definitely fit your description of wanting to do something for animals.  Or, you can write about PETA and all their flaws!  LOL  Good Luck, will be looking forward to hearing what your topic ends up being. 

 Top ten renquishment reasons for dogs/cats in your town/county?  you have access to the info, it's def research based, and it could even include some education on how to address those reasons. :)

 Similar topics could be age, breed, gender distribution of relinquished dogs ( and/or adopted dogs).
 

How about how many animal lives have been saved due to the internet....that'd be a hard one to research probably though. 

I have thought about doing BSL, but I'm not sure how I would research that entirely, most of it would be opinion. And don't get me started on PETA, I could go for hours about all of their flaws and such...I love to research, and I don't mind a hard topic. But things are just so much easier when they say "you do this, you do that".

*sigh* it's days like this where I just want to drop out, and go work for McDonalds or something.

Greyhound Racing? There's TONS of information on the Internet about all the pros and cons. There's Anti-Racing and Pro-Racing. How the dogs are treated, adoption afterward... Lots of areas just in that subject alone. I have debated AR and PR so much and it was really fun!

I think this would be a great idea - you could research the laws, and then research stats to backup your beliefs on why they're flawed. (For example, let's say papillons are banned, but only x% of dog bites are a result of papillon aggression, or whatever.) 

How about how having a pet improves human's lives?  There's been lots of research about blood pressure being lowered when people pet animals, etc.

Or being allowed to take pets to the office.  I was researching this b/c I want to propose some changes to our pet rule and I guess studies have been done in this field.
