And they say cats are clean... Rant

I always hear people say how clean cats are, but Salem is way cleaner then our 3 cats.

This morning I came downstairs to find the trash can knocked over and clam shells strewn all over the floor. I wouldn't have minded that because we should have brought it out anyway, but one of them peed on the clams to claim them! Yes they are neutered, all of them are vet checked. One of them is just a jerk, lol!

Salem came down and barked at the trash can and then sniffed the pile of clams and ran past 2 of the cats and started barking at the third, like "how dare you pee in the kitchen, I eat there". Well that cat was obviously the offender, but I can't do anything about it if I don't catch him. We had figured thats the one that was doing it. Salem was really upset by the mess. He normally just ignores the cats completely. He sat by me and whined the whole time I was cleaning up the mess. Thank goodness for enzyme cleaners.

Salem would never mess in the house unless he was sick, and even if he did when he was sick he obviously feels awful for doing it.

    Sorry just wanted to rant.

    Too funny!!!!!

Well, I'm sure it wasn't quite so funny at the time ;) But Salem is such a rat, lol!

         LOL! Rant away!
I have to agree with you about cats. Even my Beagles are SO much cleaner ... they HATE messes, while cats are the cause of them (ok, no I'm not a cat person - I had one cat who passed a few years ago, and he was a prince among cats). My grandmother's cat just had a litter of kittens in the house, and the best day of my life was the day they left! Of course, I was there several times a day cleaning up after & feeding them ... They were incredably cute, but could get into more trouble and make a worse mess than Beagle pups ever could Indifferent And that's saying something, lol. The mother cat had a habit of urinating out of her box as a kitten, and reverted back to that after they were born. Peed and pooped on my grandmother's recliner. So yeah, enzyme cleaners are AWESOME!
After her kittens flew the coop, she tore open the underneath of the couch, and my grandmother does not have the money to replace this, so we have to get her a new couch for X-Mas. Lovely. Stupid cat clawed the underneath of the couch so that now the cushions are sinking. UGH.
I took two of my Beags to her house last week & they were perplexed at the lining hanging down from the couch. They caught the cat clawing it while they were in the house, and both of them ARRROOOOO'd at her until she got out from underneath there. Wild cat, lol. Then the Beags look at me like "Look, just look what she did!"

LOL  "how dare you pee in the kitchen, I eat there"  LOL

That's so true!! I have two cats and I adore them... but they're so messy!! And my poor dog, he feels so ashamed of the things they do! And I know that once we made a mistake and blame him for something he didn't do, so poor thing, he hides when a disaster takes place "just in case".

Of course now we know who did what... and Thor has his eye-pointing system if we are not sure (he pop his eyes towards the guilty one and snores hahahaha)... and, of course, if he did... he disappears!!

Wow!  I love Salem!  That's impressive how he went to the "dirty little feline"!  I'm really and truely impressed.  Our cat will get in our garbage once in a while, but we've been trying desperately to not let the garbage bag sit out of the trash can, and take it outside right away...that's when our cat gets into it, and it's usually if we had chicken.  Our cat is so goofy, we tried giving him fresh fish (that we've caught) and he won't eat it...weird!  Poor Salem, I feel bad that dirty little booger pee'd where he eats!  Give Salem lots of lovin's from us...we understand completely!

Salem is a smart guy. He has been giving that cat dirty looks since it happened, lol. It's funny because 1 cat he gets along with really well. They will even cuddle together. The other 2 cats normally he will completely ignore. Now he ignores one and gives the other nasty looks whenever it is around.

I'm afraid I'm not a huge cat person even though I have 3 of them. I like the cats and they live very well, but they just don't offer you the same love as a dog does. They could really care less whether we are around at all as long as someone feeds them and keeps their boxes clean. One of them is a really cool cat, and seems to enjoy getting attention, but the other 2 can be downright nasty. One of them bites if you try to pet him, and the other pees on stuff!
