Skin question - fast remedy?

Hey all :)

This is kind of gross but does anyone know of an overnight remedy for a pimple - something that at least drastically reduces it? Dabbing toothpaste on it doesn't work for me. Any other ideas are much appreciated...thanks a lot. Smile

Best thing I've found is good old-fashioned pimple creams, like benzoyl peroxide. But be careful, it can dry out your skin pretty badly!! You might consider using an oil-free moisturizer in addition. Also change your pillowcases and your face-drying cloth and do NOT touch your face!

Tea Tree Oil works well for me. It is a little harsh so you might want to mix a drop with a dab of moisturizer (I use it straight, but I dont have sensitive skin). If I use it at night the pimple is almost gone by morning!

If I have a true emergency ;) I use some kind of anti inflammatory like cortisone overnite. I just found this kiehls salve called centella which works wonders for this very problem!

No research to back this up, but for some reason, if I hold my face under REALLY hot water (as hot as I can stand it), the pimples seem to shrink and are less red/inflammed. I do this for the last minute of my shower and then pat dry my face very gently.

The fastest way to dry a pimple out is toothpaste........it works.....for me anyway....lol

I was about to post the same question, but what kind of pimple? One that has a head on it, or those ones that are like a blind pimple where you get nothing but a big red, sore bump? That's what I have on my cheek and Good God does it hurt!!! I haven't gotten one in soo long and then all of a sudden! I know when I used to go the beach the salt water...did wonders for my skin. I wonder if the sea salt they sell for cooking would do the same thing?
