    HELP!!

Any advice on how to get an active male to calm down!! Turns out the female that was over is in heat and now that they're gone, Wolf won't calm down or quit howling.. It's driving me nuts! His owner went out and left him behind again...I can't walk him cuz he won't listen to me anymore so that won't work.. *bangs head on desk* I'm ready to tape his mouth shut...

Edit: Never mind! We got it! I let Maze loose to keep him company. She's spayed so I'm not worried with him trying anything. Besides, Maze will bite him if he does.

I agree.... in fact, it may be the only way. Take your roomie to a shelter, let him see how many dogs rot in cages, then ask him if he wants to breed his dog (I read your other post too)

He wouldn't care if I did that.  He doesn't care about anything but himself. He's determined to get puppies out of Wolf even thou he can't even take care of himself.. As long as I'm living here, Wolf will not have puppies and as soon as he's mine, he's getting neutered. I really don't like my roomie (if you couldn't tell. Lol)  If I had been given full control of Wolf when I first moved in, he would have been neutered in the first week of me being there.

It really makes me sad to see Wolf treated the way he is. Granted Wolf is a nice looking dog, pretty good temperament but he has issues I wouldn't want to pass on to a litter. He can be very aggressive (might be an intact thing, might not be), he may have health problems we don't know about. I don't even think Wolf has been to a vet except when I take him...All in all, he's not a purebred, wouldn't help the overall population and has chronic problems. *shrugs* Not breeding material in my eyes, thou I'm not a breeder.

If Roomie kept Wolf under control and on a leash at all times then I wouldn't have as big as problem with Wolf being intact but he doesn't and used to just open the door and let Wolf run until the SPCA came knocking and threaten to shoot him. *shudder* This man should not own an animal of any sort but I know when my family FINALLY moves away from this guy and takes Wolf, he'll just find another puppy and start all over again.

If they're considered wild and dangerous they shoot them with a tranquilizer gun. Granted they could never catch Wolf to begin with, the threat is still there.

Go buy Vicks Vapo Rub and place a SMALL amount under his nostrils. Monitor carefully for any skin reaction.  I would only use it once in AM once at night.  I would also get an enzyme cleaning product and clean any fabric surfaces.  I would also check for any marking behavior that he may have accomplished on the sly.

Just remember, a little dab will do you!
