Hi!

    Hi!

Just thought I should introduce myself, since I already posted over in the behavior area. I just got my puppy, Lila, about 3 weeks ago now. I got her from the humane society and she's an approx 3 to 4 month old yellow lab/springer spaniel mix.

This is not my first dog, but my first dog that is all my responsibility. When I was in highschool my family had a pug, who still lives with my parents.

I actually also have 4 chinchillas, and am really active over on a chinchilla forum. So thought why not join a dog forum too.

So here's some pictures of Lila:

Oh she is a TOTAL cutie!!!  I love love love that pink collar!!!  And do my eyes deceive me or are HER eyes really blue??   Soooo with a lab/springer mix you have a VERY active dog, who not only wants something in her mouth all the time she wants to DO SOMETHING all the time (and let's play while we're at it ... SERIOUSLY!!!!)

*giggle* It's my favorite age -- still young enough to have that total cutie innocence, but the personality is beginning to emerge in a big big way.    How'd you name her Lila??  Any reason in particular?  I really like it!!  It's going to be a great 'call' name.

Hi Lila!!! Welcome to you and your mom!

    Thanks for the welcome! :)

I'm not sure if her eyes are really blue, or if it's just the picture, I'll have to check :) But she does have the prettiest eye lashes! lol

And yep, her personality is definitely coming out right now. She into the chewing and barking stage. She's so far a really sweet dog, when she's not trying to eat my arm lol. I've found that she loves to chew and when she's doing that, it definitely saves my sanity since she's not getting into things.

She seems to be really smart and gets a hang of things pretty quickly so I'm hoping to get her into obedience real soon since I think she'd enjoy it.

But she's not overly hyper for a puppy and I'm hoping it stays that way, although I won't mind if she's active, so long as it's something I can handle, like walks and obedience.

I previously worked at a grooming and boarding kennel, so I've had my experience with dogs, and always have loved them. I'm hoping I can help her grow up into a really well behaved dog :)
