foster may have a new home...

I'm waiting to hear from the first family, they have not called me back - met him over a week ago. I'm giving them until tomorrow, I called this afternoon and have not heard anything. Does that sound fair? Of couse - I will call again tomorrow!

I have two other people interested in him, one is a family who works/schools from home, large backyard - only down fall is they have 4 or 5 birds... Jeagar loves to play with anything with feathers... and eat them Tongue Tied She has a 9 year old, who Jeagar would LOVE. She is a bit pushy and demanding...and impatient

The other is a younger, single lady, works all day - wants a dog to take on walks and on errands and such. Only downfall, Jeagar has horrible seperation anxiety...I've spent more time talking with her, she wants to work on the SA, but I don't know if he would do ok in a home all alone of 8 hours a day. She is very nice though, and seems to have an excellend understanding about dogs.

    Who would you choose?

Here's the little brat - for those who have not seen him yet...

Oh man, no advice here (only you can really know the dog and how he'd do), but he sure is cute! Good luck!!

ugh, I know. Once one of the families meets him, it will be a done deal - whichever one it is. I just hope we pick the right one... I would hate to see him come back...again.

He's been back once already? He's cute....Does the single lady rent or own? If she rents, the SA could be a problem.

I'll be honest, I don't think any of these sound quite right on the surface- but any of them COULD work with the right supports in place. How does the lady who works plan to handle the SA? How does the family with birds plan to handle the birds? (And pushy and demanding might not be a good combo, to be honest, as are they going to expect the dog to be an Instant Perfect Fit?) Still, any of them COULD be the right home- it just depends.

    Good luck!

He was in another foster home when I got him, she brought him back because she could not deal with him anymore... he got adopted and brought back the next because he... barked. oh my.

The instant perfect fit was what I was worried about with the pushy lady. I told her he was not avalible at that time, and she kept saying she wanted him...She hasn't responded to my comcerns about the birds. I'm refusing to give her my number at this point, I don't need her calling every few hours. I just worry that if it doesn't work with her, she wont tell me. Seems like that full-of-pride personality type...

The single lady said she has been reading up on the SA. I believe she said she owned her own home, def. not in an apartment and has a fenced in back yard.

I'm trying to come up with a way that I could have him meet both families, and then let me decide. Unfortunatly, the ways things seem to be going with both people is as soon as I say, let's meet, they will take him home - no real chance for me to say no.

What a cutie pie!  I'm having a hard time believing that you haven't had a call back in nearly a week.  I think I would have been on the phone calling you the next day. Smile
