Who was it that started NAFTA? Oh yeah, Clinton. Who is it that wants to win the next election? Oh yeah, Clinton. I'm not being political. Any progress toward NAU has been helped along by president Bush. Therefore, this is a "bi-partisan" deal that goes beyond the smokescreen of usual political squabbling. See, that way, we worried about co2 and global warming and Iraq and totally miss the dissolution of our country. And we have both parties to thank for it. It would be easy to blame it all on Bush. But take your pick. Either he can barely tie his shoelaces or he has a better mind for this than one would think. But either way, the groundwork was started with the UN, continues with NAFTA, etc. What about the beginning of this country? It used to be 13 sovereign colonies. And it wouldn't be the first time something happened ex-camera. We used to have the Articles of Confederation. During what was supposed to be a ratifying vote, the Articles of Confederation were scrapped and the Constitution was drafted and ratified without any voting from the voting public, which only happened to be white male landowners at the time, anyway.
