At work, I've worn a hard hat to protect the structure from me.

Is she going to be liable for damages for whatever she busted with her hard head?

On a more serious note, it is not uncommon to get a vertebral subluxation from an accident like that. She may want to see a chiropractor and make sure everything is still lined up properly. It will help diminish further ailments down the road from a misaligned vertabrae.

 Well the good thing here is that when my dad walks into the hospital, people pay attention.  He's not some big shot or anything, but with my mom's history, and my dad's always being there, well, they don't take things with our family lightly.  Also our family doctor happens to be chief of staff.  And my niece, the one on MSN is a local celebrity of sorts, and thus, most of the hospital staff know my sister quite well.  Megan has been to emerg several times from hockey hits.  So they didn't fool around at all.  Our doctor was brought in which makes me feel good.  She won't be released until Dr. Dove is good and ready. 

Ron, the guy that lives across from my mom and dad is a chiropractor.  (he also has a gorgeous brindle boxer that goes to work with him everyday!)  So I'll mention it to him and he'll likely come see her if she won't go in to see him.  lol he can be pushy like that.

Excellent. I went to a chiropractor a few months ago and got my atlas adjusted, which helped. And if I get the job I think I'm going to get tomorrow, then I will have a way to pay for it. The payments aren't high and they will certainly arrange fee schedules but I like having a way to pay for it first. I know I need to have the work done. My neck is only a few degrees out but my lower back has 0 degrees, which is very wrong.

Hope your sister is okay!  May I recommend a hard hat for a Christmas gift!
