Mindless Chatter - MON!

How is Dakota today?  I hope she is feeling all better!  I tried the wheat stuff with my cats but one of mine cats is peculiar and will pee elsewhere if she doesn't like it and she did so now I have half a bag left that I will have to figure out what to do with.  She did the same thing with the automatic litter box which really sucks b/c that means I have to continue scooping myself.  I am just glad to store took it back!

Well today is granite day!  I can hardly contain myself.  By mid day I should have my new countertops in and by the end of the week I should have new floors and a backsplash!  I have been waiting for this week for a couple months now and I could hardly sleep last night!  It will be interesting to see how this week goes with the dogs here.  I have Izzy's crate in the extra bedroom and plan to put her in there as soon as I see them drive up but she will likely scream in there all day long.  I also get to work at home all week which can be really enjoyable as well.

 Yipeee!!! 

 

I got a lovely wake up today to find my room nice and cold found out half of southern Ohio was without electricity at least it only last for 30 minutes when I woke up I have no clue how long it was out. I need to get some cleaning done and send out orders today for stuff especially for frontline since I found fleas on Blue which he is now chewing himself until he bleeds. I'm going to stop at the vet tomorrow to get him some frontline I can't watch him do to that to himself no more. I need to get dress soon and get ready to go to the chiropractor again for my check up on my back which is feeling great.

 

I can't believe December is so close and I don't have all my Christmas shopping done I need to get that done this weekend because I don't want to be out in those crowds and it's time to get Blue's picture with Santa done so many things to do so little time. 

I have been so busy lately and going through a lot, that I almost forgot to do my victim impact statement.  And really, I have no idea what to write.  It is so difficult to get my emotions into words.  And this has to be done by friday so I can send it to the review board.  And not to mention I have to speak to the review board.  What am I going to do.  What do I say?? Ugh I don't know if I can do this.  I need help with it, badly.

This is day one off my "hell week"  DH is out of town until Saturday so it's just me and Madison.  So far, everything is going smoothly.  I think that maybe last night's event played a part in Madison's calmness.  She feel out of her bed at 2 this morning.  I couldn't help but laugh because me and Justin were just talking about how she sleeps in weird positions at night and she was bound to fall out of her bed sooner or later.  She didn't cry or anything she just told me that she fell and asked me to hold her.  I got her back to sleep and finally fell into bed at 3, just to be woke up at 7 by Rocky jumping on me!   It is all cloudy and rainy here today.  A good day to curl up on the couch and nap!!

Whew, what a weekend. I worked at both jobs on Wednesday, starting at 7pm Tuesday night, and finishing around 11pm on Wednesday. On Thursday I worked in the morning, had dinner with BF's mom's side of the family, then worked at night. Friday was a little more relaxed, but I worked 7pm-7am Saturday. On Saturday BF's dad's side of the family and my side of the family have a second Thanksgiving at our house. I made a 30 pound turkey!! Sunday was my birthday, so my grandmother took BF and my older sister and I to Animal Kingdom for the day and it was SO SO SO fun. I fell in love with the meerkats :) I love birthdays!

I hope Dakota is feeling better, and Neiko too!

Hi All!! I was off the 'puter for the long weekend. When you work on one all day, you don't want to be on it at home unless necessary. I had a nice holiday weekend, however they are never long enough. I did a whole lot of nothing! However I need to do a lot. I did check out an AKC aglity event near home on Sunday. I think it is something I can handle when I have the $$ to enter. Now I need to get into Christmas mode and I am not at all motivated. We have a lot of work to do at work. I hope we aren't crazy busy now until the holiday, that just sucks.

It's 5am on a Tuesday and I've been up for an hour. We are supposed to be heading to the field at this moment for bird surveys, as if 10 days of bird surveys ending last Friday wasn't enough bird surveys for me. I was desperately hoping this field trip would be called off so I wouldn't have to travel from my parents' home 2 hours to work, and then a further 2 hours to the field sites, but alas, it wasn't and my day off turned into one rushed appointment after the other. I spent $120 seeing various doctors and I'll only get half of it back. And after getting down here and getting up at 4, it turns out it rained all night and because we work in the water catchment for Sydney and the surrounding area, we're not allowed in if there's been more than 10mm of rain. It stands at 37mm right now, so I'm guessing this field trip is off. What a pain! They'll probably close the catchment for the rest of the week. Maybe this means we'll be doing the 4wd course this week after all? Last week we had to hand winch ourselves out of trouble, so it would sure be nice to know how to do that kind of thing on our own.

So I posted in yesterdays mindless chatter about a BIG corgi. Well here it is..

That picture doesn't even do it justice. The thing was waddling, and it was REALLY WIDE. From left to right that is Molly, Spirit, and fat dog. Molly is my sisters dog (that would be Jewlieeeeeee's sister as well, if you're keeping score).  It's too bad that there are so many fat corgis out there.

Anyway, today it's back to work. I got the paypal integration working for the software project I'm working on, so I'm happy about that.

I just made a vet appointment for the vet appointment of the century!  Tomorrow night, eek!  Posh needs an exam, a distemper combo booster, and I have to try to talk the vet out of giving her a rabbies vacc.  Marijke needs an exam, distemper combo booster, and the rabbies vacc.  Coke needs whatever dogs usually get (I don't even know yet) and I want his legs/hips examined.  I also need a fecal float on both dogs (so I'll be collecting poopies tonight, yummy!), a Capstar tablet for Kenya (in case her fleas come back while we are on vacation), and more Frontline Plus because they didn't have enough last time.

Can we say credit card purchase? 

You're right. That is one fat corgi. I think the one at our dog park is even bigger though. I'll have to take a pic next time.

 

Spirit looks a little chunky in that photo too! ;p Spirit, she's my fav. munchkin dog. 

She was running around with her hair up, which makes her look bigger. Maybe that's related to the fear thing, I don't know.
