    Favourite and least favourite....

    Tv chef(s)

    Smile

Purely for the food turned out... Gordon Ramsay

    What about you guys?

    • Gold Top Dog

Well she's not a chef, but Rachel Rae obviously.  And as for a real chef, Bobbie Flay.

I'm not sure about least favorites.  I don't watch those...LOL  Seriously when I see them I just change the chanel.  There's a girl that cooks Italian food all the time, and I don't know, the way she talks just drives me nuts.

There is a lady named Paula I think that cooks southern food, you know, fried chicken and sweet potatoe pie kind of stuff, that makes me hungry and want to cuddle... Confused

I love the Food Network, and have opinions on pretty much everyone on there.

My favorite favorite FAVORITE Food Network person (okay, so he's not a chef, I guess) is Alton Brown. I just love him. Good Eats is fantastic, and Feasting on Asphalt makes my wanderlust worse...but I still love it.

I LOVE Jamie Oliver, though I don't think he's on anymore...

    Love Tyler Florence too.

Robert Irvine is fabulous..he does that Dinner: Impossible show.

I like Rachael Ray, but sometimes she gets on my nerves just a little bit...

I HATE Ina Garten. Her show is Barefoot Contessa...hate her hate her hate her. I hate her hair, and the way she talks..the way she moves, and pretentious yuppie food she cooks... I just....don't like her. lol

The Italian girl is Giada de Laurentis, and she gets on my nerves.

Paula Deen's cute, and her food makes me drool, but she's a little over the top.

Oh yeah oh yeah. I like Gordon Ramsay..he's like the Simon Cowell of the food world.. But he looks like a shar pei. Big Smile

I havent heard of most of those!  I like the way Jamie Oliver cooks, REALLY SIMPLE, just bungs it together, bit of this, some of that, a little bit of something else, bash it together and wang it in a pan.... but I often don't like the look of the food he does.  Looks a bit bland.  I also like that work he did with the under priveleged kids.... oh and all that school dinner stuff he did.

The other one I like is Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall.  I mean, hardly anyone would actually cook like he does, with all his own stuff, from scratch, 100% organic, NOTHING wasted.... but he just looks so mad with his weird hair and glasses and some of the stuff he turns out is WEIRD.

Wait!  Who's the Take Home Chef?  Chelsea?  He can come cook in my house ANYTIME!  Drool.  I don't even care what he makes.

Paula Dean.  Is that the southern lady?  I agree, she can be a bit over the top once in a while, but dood, she has a DOG in her kitchen with her.  That is my kinda woman!  Well if I had a kind of woman...Hmm

Rachael Ray is probably the only cook that I have gotten out a pen and paper at the beginning of her show to write down recipes.  Thats just cause I know I can cook it if she can do it in 30 minutes.  Might take me more like 2 hours... but I can do it.

We used to watch the Surreal Gourmet. We like Rachel Ray and Emeril. We like Paula Deen even though her accent is thick enough to give you sugar shock.

At first, DW didn't like Alton Brown. Once she understood his sense of humor then it was okay. And we really liked his new show "Feasting on Asphalt." A motorcycle trip of taste starting at the southern most tip of Louisiana. We also like Ghiada D'Laurentis but it's totally unfair that she can make all that wonderful italian food and never gain an ounce. Barefoot Contessa makes it all look easy. Heck, we like most of them on the food network.

Although, I've never been interested in watching Iron Chef, though we enjoyed watching Mark Dacascos in his movies, such as the second Crow movie.

I love watching Alton Brown and even if he's not cooking anything I'm interested in, he's very entertaining and educational. I like Rachel Ray, but sometimes she can be a little too enthusiastic, but I do try more of her recipes than anyone else. I love Paula Deen too but always feel like I need to jog a few miles just from watching the show. I've never seen anyone use that much butter when the cook Big Smile

I'd have to say mine and my husbands favorite chefs are  Alton Brown, Mario Battali, and Michael Smith. They all have amazing recipes and I love how educational/ entertaining Alton Brown makes cooking. My least favorite chef is Bobbie Flay, I just can't stand alot of his recipes lol (my husband disagrees with me on this lol). We loved watching Martin Yan, but they don't show his show here anymore.

I LOVE Bobbie Flay!  He's cute and he makes those southwestern type meals, my favorite!!!

    • Gold Top Dog

Oh, and one more thing about Bobbie Flay, his recipes are really easy!  That's what I like nice and easy, no fuss meals!
