I'd have preferred an alarm clock

I got to sleep a little late last night so my DH was up before I was.  He had his shower and was back in our bedroom getting dressed when I started to open my eyes.  He noticed me stirring and said "oh, when you've had a chance to wake up, we need to talk".

Nothing, I repeat NOTHING will wake a person up faster than their loved on saying that to them.  I sat bolt upright in bed and said "WHAT?!"....turned out to be nothing bad...just related to a decision about something that affects us both, but not bad news.  Which is good, since before we did discuss it, I couldn't for the life of me think what I had done...

Men, please....don't use those words unless it's really serious LOL.  It wasn't a nice way to wake up.

Hahaha, seriously! That's such a bad phrase. My BF and I have taken to using that phrase only in jest, so when we actually have something to discuss, we say something more like, "Do you have a minute?" He got sooooooo mad at me the last time I asked "Can we talk?" when I wanted his input on what video games to buy, lol! He thought he was in the doghouse bigtime!

I don't think I'm telling my husband about this one, he may try and use it on me since he can never wake me up.  If he did this, I think I'd have the same reaction as you, in fact, I know I would, then I would have probably have to hurt him! LOL

Yeah, DH pulls this whenever he wants to annoy me.  And like you I go into immediate panic mode...I think my heart rate increased just reading it in your post.

Oh my gawd!  I would have had a coronary right there on the spot if I were woken up like that.  If I survived the heart attack I'd be going to jail for murdering DH! ~LOL~
