My BF is SO romantic sometimes! (Cita)

So some of you might remember me talking about my BF planning a trip to Newport, RI for us this last weekend. Well, it was an awesome vacation, but the best part?

I have said before, kind of jokingly, that guys who play the guitar are super hot. Also that I love the sound of acoustic guitar.

So while I've been away for the past several months, what did the BF do? He started taking guitar lessons!!!! Just so he could play for me (and have something interesting to do other than work and videogames). So we were hanging out in our hotel room and he asks, "Do you want a surprise?" so I tell him, "Sure!" having no idea what he's planning.

He then asks me to close my eyes and he runs out to the car, then before he comes in he asks me to "close my ears" and he goes into the bathroom. (My eyes are still closed.) Finally he comes out and tells me I can open my ears but not my eyes, and then he starts playing me a song! ("House of the Rising Sun.";) It was soooooo cute!

My BF is not at all musically inclined, which made it even more special. It was his anniversary present to me (our 4 year anniversary was in October) and I thought it was just the sweetest and most romantic thing possibly ever in the universe.

    /swoon :)

    /sappy off! lol!

It sounds like he's a keeper!!  what we gals call 'romantic' guys call being thoughtful or just plain trying to 'please' us.  Given that he's not musically inclined that is truly an awesome thing for him to do (and probably he had to overcome a lot of fear of failure and fear of ridicule to do that which is incredible).

When a man goes the extra mile to "do" something SIMPLY BECAUSE he knows something you "like" and he does it simply to quietly and simply respond to the person he knows is inside of you -- that is one of those incredibly touching things that will make us fall in love with them all over again.

One time at Valentine's Day -- it was actually the day before, I was crawling around the grocery store on one of those little motorized carts (are we at 'romantic' yet?  NOPE *sigh*) because I was hurting too much to walk behind a cart.

Now you gotta understand, David is a Brit.  Until he gets accustomed to you he seems VERY introverted and shy -- VERY quiet and oh so very "proper".  He wouldn't do anything to draw attention to himself for ANYHTHING.

He's just too 'British' -- it can make him so embarassed if the car windows are open and I blow him a kiss that he about dies!!

Soooooooooooooooo flash back to this Valentine's Day.  all of a sudden, down the aisle comes my husband.  Holding this four foot tall WHITE fluffy gorilla that has a chip inside it and it's blaring "WILD THING" as he walks down the aisle to me.

I'm laughing so hard tears are running down my face.  He piles it into my arms with this huge grin on his face.  "THAT is for you!! Happy Valentines - I knew you'd love it!!"

He didn't sneak it in -- it was in full view of about 10 other shoppers.  He had it PLAYING (and it was loud).  He did it *because* he knew I would understand how out of character it was for him but declaring his love for me in such a 'public' way was HIS way of truly doing something special and completely out of character.

he's done a lot of sweet things but that one will long stand in my mind as 'romantic' because he did it not to draw attention to himself but instead to give ME a laugh.

your fella did this specifically to make your heart trip like a jackhammer.  I'm sure he knows your 'opinions' on guitarists and HE wanted to be that for you.  That's WAY up there on the "Oh-My-Gosh" meter!!!!!!
