Bad mannered neighbor!

Opps sorry for the gender slip.  We don't get as many guys here as gals.  Try putting your actual NAME in your sig or something like "male" and we'll not make that mistake. []
 
I absolutely agree that you should let the neighbor know that the dog is disturbing you, but if she doesn't try to do anything to control the situation, then of course I'd go on to complaining to the landlord.  But, I'm one of those mushy people who tend to give people wayyy too many chances and don't really get around to complaining higher up until I'm really good and ticked.......

Well, there are three dogs in our house, one downstairs, mine and one across the hall.  The one downstairs and Willow never make a sound unless someone comes in.  The guy across the hall, a chi, sits in the window and barks at every little thing that happens all morning. 
 
We hear him daily.  I did let her know and she has tried to control it, but never completely stopped him.
 
Also, I made the mistake of offering to take him out.  Now, it's way out of control.  I've said no when I couldn't do it but it's still a huge responsiblity.  I would like to stop but don't want to dog to be stuck because I know she doesn't have anyone and also she doesn't have much money to pay someone else. 
 
So, basically, what I'm trying to say is try to handle it without you taking the dog out and having to watch it.
