    Paw Print Cast Mold Thingy

I was wondering if anyone every casted their puppies paw prints?  I have heard about doing it as a keepsake for them they are PTS, but I thought it would be cool to do it now.  We received a kit for our expected babies' foot and hand prints and thought it would be cool to have Charlie's too and hang them up together.

Should we do this?  Has anyone tried and it was too messy or bad for their fur, etc?

We went to this doggie carnival/fair thing and they were doing this. Presley was about 6 months old and I think because she wasn't very heavy and I didn#%92t want to hurt her by pushing to hard that we didn't get a very good print of it....

In short - GREAT idea, bad execution on my part...

I've always wanted to do this, but haven't yet. I did try it with wet cement once, but it had a lot of rocks in it...and just made a mess, not a real print. I've seen the clay impression kits at Wal-Mart, and thought about doing this sometime, it would be really neat. But then I'm not sure how to get the dogs to cooperate and get a good print.

I cast my daughter's hand print with Zoey's paw print in the same mold.  Dated it and my daughter loves it

We tried one of those mold things, but it never turned out well.  DH tried three times to get a good print then had to wash the pup's paw three times!  It just looked like a blob.  Oh well, it was worth a shot!

That's what we were thinking, Charlie's paw prints with the baby's foot or hand prints.  Do you remember which kit you used?

I recieved a kit as a gift.  It was a shadow box with a frame on the other side.  It came out really well.  I did Reese, my Dal a few months before he was PTS.  So glad  did.  Its a nice keepsake.  His foot did not get messy but then again he was very short coated.  It was pretty easy from what I remember.  I have mine on the top of a bookshelf on the landing of our staircase.  I look at it every time I go up the stairs. [:)]

Here is basically what I have:
