    Need help again please

First one, The new pup who is 10 weeks old has a runny nose and runny eyes. He was given all shots and fixed before he came home. We brought him to the vet for fear of Kennel Cough. The vet said give him half a tab of Benedril.  Thats been going for 2 days now and he seems better. Any other thoughts?

Second one, Ceasar has had the poops all day. He was eating some of the pups food yesterday which is Science Diet Puppy. Today he pooped in the house (runny and stinky) And he's had runny poop all day. He's not eating his food. He ate maybe a handful of food today.  The vet said with hold all food for 12 hours, and if it's the same to bring him back in. Can we give him Immodium? The vet said maybe but wait.  What can we do for him now?

I would follow your vets suggestion. I wouldn't give them Immodium.  If you have to give him something, go to a pet specialty store and buy Benebac - not Benedryl, but Benebac, it is a consintrated form of the healthy micro organism found in yogurt that help with stomach upsets.

Your vet may very well say feed plain yogurt or cottage cheese and rice.  The "healthy micro organisms" or "probiotics" are the reason alot of vets recommend yogurt or cottage cheese diets with rice for upset tummies.

Again, I would follow your vets advice and maybe crate your adult dog until tomorrow so it doesn't make a mess.

Maybe the runny nose and eyes are allergies?  Sounds like the Benadryl is helping, so I'd suspect allergies.

When I changed our dogs foods, to upgrade, and they got diahrea, fellow members suggested plain pumpkin to firm the stool and plain yogurt to replace the healthy bacteria in the intestine.

For fear of them becoming dehydrated, I gave them chicken broth, I cook from scratch & freeze so it's low sodium.  But, in a pinch I've used the canned stuff, just dilute it 50/50 to lower the sodium.  Then I fed them rice, with the pumpkin and chicken broth, a bit of ground turkey until they became regular.
