Falsely Accused

I've TRIED to watch that video four or five times. I never get past the first few slides. Now, even hearing that music, I need to go bury my face in some warm fur and cry.

I had to turn it off after the FIRST slide.  [:(]

Thats sad, at the end you can see pics of happy pits with their families showing there is nothing to fear about

Actually, Annie LOVES the breed!! She has ben a great supporter and has come to watch my Markie show at a couple of shows over the past two years...I know she says she comes to see me but I know the truth...it's really to steal Markie kisses!!!
If anything I know it is too heartbreaking for Annie to watch that video knowing the compasion and love she has.

I'm glad you all liked it...I just had to share!

Such a sad video but it's very true. This is one of the reasons I'm against BSL. Too many people cannot positively indentify a Pitbull to save their lives. I get it all the time. I had someone tell me that the dog in this picture....

is obviously a Pit Bull and they have no idea why I keep calling him a Boston Terrier. [8|]

I couldn't watch the second video but loved the first one.

Not to hijack the thread but my pit bull story is sort of related.

Many years ago I lived in a town that had a general store (and no other commerce). Sometimes when I'd go there this stout dog would be sitting blocking the door. I was afraid of big dogs in those days but I convinced myself that he couldn't be too bad if every one else got by him. I'd ask him to move (he never did) then I'd nudge him with the door. After a while I'd say "Hi Diesel", scratch his neck and then push him out of my way. (He never seemed to mind the push but he never moved without it.)

Flash forward about 10 years. I had just moved to Florida and needed to see a mechanic. As I walked down his long driveway I was greeted by a dog who reminded me of Diesel. This dog was very friendly. I let him sniff me, petted him and we were having a pretty good time by the time the mechanic came out.

In those years I had never heard of a pit bull. Later I heard stories about these very frightening and viscious dogs. When one was finally pointed out to me I was shocked.

I have to admit that if I had never met individual pit bulls but only heard stories of them. I would have headed for the hills as soon as I encountered them. Lucky for me I already had pittie friends!

Ive seen the second video many many times, I show it to everyone who has the slightest adversion to pitty breeds, and its on my myspace as a blog.  Its sad, but its the facts and it is educational because Ive seen the peoples faces to who Ive shown it to in person.  Surprisingly, they genuinly seem to have a light go off... it makes me feel good... but it makes me sad that so many people just dont even think that far into it.  They hear pitty breeds are bad, so they believe it.  And then are shocked and amazed to realize they were abused, people are cruel, theyre not all bad, all that stuff.  Just proves to me how easily at lot of people form opinons.... and how important it is for us to take every chance we can get to defend those dogs and spread the word.

    Great video Jamie!  Thanks!
