RUSTY 3 INCH NAIL FOUND IN MERRICK DOG TREATS

:( I just bought Slick some Merrick Bully Sticks...  Has anyone had any problem with the bully sticks?   They are clearly body part treats, so I guess there is a distinct possibility that they contain a nail or two.

I don't understand, you said you knew the product.  So, why would a "staple" be in a can of chicken food if it presumably was supposed to be used in beef or pork??  Are you saying that not only are they missing things but that they are also exposing one meat source to another?

And, not for anything but a piece of plastic a staple, a nail obviously this is more than just a body part processing issue.  It's the way things are handled by them in general.

"And also it's not a treat"  Again, I know.  I sell the stuff.  I'm not stupid, infact I just might know more about this than most do - or maybe not, cause you know I just work for one of their major distributors.  But I don't know anything.

And actually, I found out the reason why staples/nose rings where found in certain "body part" products, through Redbarn, not Merrick.

I guess I should have clarified that I intended for the about 2 sentences/paragraphs to be unrelated.

I know Granny's Pot Pie is Chicken and carrots, and brown rice, and sweet potatos and not beef or pig.  In your case I would say it was a construction staple, or maybe a staple the chicken ate or something wierd.

just curious, does jojo eat merrick's food and/or treats?

Yes, he has a bag of Merrick Beef Training Treats in my pantry and 2 cans Merrick dog food...Smothered Comfort and Brots N' Tots.  Never had a problem with anything I've bought.  I used to feed Joey Merrick dry.  Infact a couple nights ago I ran out of dog food and gave him one of the samples of Cowboy Cookout I use for sale purposes.  I've never had a problem with their dry food either.  I switched because Nature's Logic, another food we distribute, works better.

Another thing...companies such as Royal Canin, Breeder's Choice, Natural Balance and Eagle Pack feel bad for Merrick right now.  I have been told by many of the above mentioned reps that Merrick is a great, caring company that is simply being barrated with problems.  Grant it, some of them are due to their bad customer service.  But the above mentioned companies have had their problems too.  Ask me and I'll tell you some you probably never heard of because, they keep things "under wrap."

Just to let everyone know how bad Merrick customer service are... they have not replied to any of my 3 e-mails to them. It has been more than a month now since I wrote them the first e-mail.
