I am glad my kids havent been checking the HS website lately, because between them (and me) we would have a 3rd I think.

Free, unsolicited advice.  The step up from 2 to 3 dogs isn't to bad.

The word in the mushing world and owners of Siberian Huskies is that they are like potato chips. You can't have just one. Before you know it, you have four, which is enough to qualify for limited runs and competitions. Next thing you know, you are loading up the credit card for a sled, x-back racing harnesses, gangline made out of aircraft cable. Then you buy a pickup truck big enough to hold what is called a dogbox ( multi-kennel for carrying more than one dog).  Then, you start buying racing food, meat by the case.

Well, you're off the hook- I just looked and it says she's no longer available.  Good news all around. [:)]  She certainly is a beatuiful dog, tho!

I don't know ron, one at a time was more than enough for me, especially with the first (the purebred) one!  LOL

Same here. I don't have the time for a team. Shadow does have a playmate of sorts, the cat. He grew up playing with a tomcat and a JRT. He would also play with the neighbor cats that would run loose and get into our yard.

The sled dog bug is addictive!
I've got 3, and I'm considering a fourth, but I'd need more space for any more dogs.  DH and I are looking to get a place outside the city so we can get 4+.
I'm currently trying to get someone to buy a $300 gift certifcate (for the local mall)  off me so that I may put that $300 towards a dryland rig. We spend all our money on meat and equipment.  Running them is all I think about!   These dogs have taken over my life!

I meantioned it to my wife today.  She said "what are you trying to do, why are you even looking at that sight?"  (shes a softie for HS dogs)  I was sure by then that she was gone.  Our HS has a pretty high turnover here.  Anyways I know it wouldve been a bad idea, and our yard is WAY too small for a 3rd dog.  I feel bad for the big one already.
