The world is out to get me!!!

I was walking Riley, and there was this strange guy that *seemed* to be following me on his bike. Luckily, he left. Then, this big Chocolate Labrador was off-leash, and it was running over to us! It was snarling and their was no one around at all! Riley was snarling back at it, and then it ran behind one of the neighbor's houses. I think it was a female, as it was wearing a purple collar. I was incredibly freaked out, and headed home quickly, but slowed down when I realized that there was nothing else to kill me!!!!

I guess this neighborhood isn't safe anymore. There is a house that was robbed recently, and they had a safe stolen. My dad said that was the reason to have the safe screwed in somewhere. Otherwise, they will just take the safe back to the garage or something and smash it opened. Then what is the points of the safe? The people that were robbed are giving a $10,000 reward to whoever figures out who robbed the house.

Turns out, the same thing happened to my mom a couple of years ago when she was walking Riley. Only is was night time. She was lifting Riley up over her head and the dog was jumping up on her. The owners eventually came out and called the dog away.

In our little town, we have an endless parade of loose dogs. I haven't walked Shadow in town in at least a month. We drive somewhere else were there a not usually loose dogs. Our "animal control" is a city plumber who is handy with a catch pole. The police might do something, they might not. Once, when a vicious dog had jumped its fence and wouldn't let us go either way, a homeowner, who's house we were standing in front of, had encountered problems with this dog before. So, he called the police and said he was going to shoot the dog with his 9mm if they didn't do something. That seemed to get their attention. It's unlawful to shoot a gun in town as you might hurt someone but a vicious dog can run loose and that's okay. The cop also noted that it's okay to shoot at a dog with a bb gun or pellet gun. I don't know why the people in this town have to fulfill the stereotype of the ingorant redneck but the do so with remarkable accuracy.

That's kinda sad. Unforunately, it is like this all over for me. My parents probably wouldn't drive me anyways. Anywhere I go is bound to have loose dogs.
