For thinking I was smarter then the pup for a whole 2 min! It is raining here today and the shoes I slipped on this morning have holes in the bottom of them, so it goes without saying the insides got damp. When I took them off I placed them in front the vent of the fridge to dry them. What can I say, I had not had my coffee yet and it was 6:10am.
Imagine my surprise when the left shoe magically appears in Kord's mouth, and he was so good to bring it to me to show me what happened. I said a nice drop it, thank you and went and put the shoe back, thinking in my morning foggy no caffeine yet mind that I will put it back and say the magic words "leave it". (Mind you I don't care about any damage, these are not shoes I would wear in public anymore)
Well he left them alone, we did a little OB training with the newly boiled homemade liver treats he thinks are a gift from doggy heaven (and made my kitchen reek yesterday) and then I got my coffee and wandered into the living room.
Yup, you guessed it, he comes in and shows me that the RIGHT shoe has now magically flown into his mouth, we go through the same routine as we did with the left just moments before. And where is the left shoe? Well it is right in front of the fridge, where I told him to leave it. I guess I wasn't specific enough, or awake enough to say "leave them"!
I put them up where he can't reach them now.[
