What "chores" does your dog do?

Molly was easily trained to deliver stuff - she likes to carry stuff around (when we get home she always brings us a toy). So it was just a matter of me giving her something, saying "go give it to..." and have the person call her, praise her, give her something else.
She's the best GSD Retriever I've met LOL
and she carries stuff out to the car for me when we go somewhere - usually my wallet but she's been known to carry other things too. working on getting her to help me carry groceries in but the smells emitting from the bag usually distracts her

Bree is in charge of retrieving fallen socks from between the washer and dryer. June (and sometimes Bree) is in charge of rounding up all of the bones in the back yard, and bringing them *back* inside the house. I've started the beginnings of teaching June to turn on and off the lights (she had been the only one tall enough, but Nick's already passing her).

Emma's working on turning lights on and off. I'm a bad mommy, and ask her to hop up and hit them. She also opens doors for me. Never, ever teach your dog to open doors, people. I heard, somewhere, that it wasn't a good idea[;)][;)][;)] She likes to slam things with her front feet, so light switches and doors were way too easy for her to figure out.

I love it that both of my dogs are so excellent at alerting me to "intruders" and both hush on command, every time. The "hush" command has to be my favorite everyday command.

Hercules favorite chore is to clean the cats litterbox. [:'(]

Gosh- not a one! Yeah, I've never asked Gingerbread to do anything much more than move over to make room for me on the bed or couch. Well, maybe a little more than that, but no he doesn't have any chores. [;)]

Maska finds all our lost socks and brings them to the kitchen.

Sam protects us from intruders, puts away his toys, watches the 6 year old, cleans up the counters, and keeps the all land within sight out of havoc [;)]

Mine like to "tattle" on the cats when the cats are being naughty...which is often![;)]

Mal reminds me to take my meds. Most useful thign EVER for someone like me who is pretty bad about paying attention to time passing.

Indy learned how to do it on his own (hey, mom's goign in the kitchen, can I cadge a treat? -> Mom! Mom! Time to go in the kitchen and get my treat like we do every day!) and I've taught it to subsequent dogs. :P

Max is the self-appointed cleaner upper of the kitchen floor and he finds and brings me my erasable pens - but usually not before he's mangled them.

Shakespeare just makes sure the kids arent running in the house.  When they start running he jumps them.  He also lets me know when the wife is a block away in her car.

xena's jobs are to protect and guard the property/other animals, and to tattle on anyone who is doing something wrong
she helps me get in any loose critters and breaks up fight between any of the horses
today she actually notified me to a bird that had hit the window, by barking and showing me where the bird hit the window and then walking over to where the bird was, i was surprized cause usually her first reaction to any small animal is to see how fast she can eat it [:'(], it's nice to see her growing out of that bad habit(she hunts with our cats so she's gotten into killing mice, gophers and the occasional grouse)
and if you lose anything outside, you know sooner or later xena will find it and bring it to her bed, its quite handy =)
