    I HATE Stupid people!

I am at the end of my proverbial rope with the Flexi illiterate!  I have a paper route, as it pays decent money for very little work, and every single morning I run across this man with a dog that is HUMAN aggressive, and EVERY morning this dog tries to BITE me!!  This dog has also charged my car more than once trying to jump through my window!

And of course, WHAT is this guy walking this meance of a dog on!?  An effing FLEXI LEAD!  You all know I'm a big advocate of "don't put the dog down unless absolutely neccessary", but how the heck to you rehab a dog that's aggressive to other people?!  I think it's probably safe to assume that he's aggressive towards dogs to but, geez!

And you know, I've been narrowly missed by this dog more than once, one of these days, I don't doubt, I'm going to get bit, because:

#1 I deliver at 5 in the AM, and I have keritikonis, aka, the rods and cones in my eyes don't function correctly and I can't see for *** in the dark
#2 The dog is BLACK and white (predominately black) and the owner never wear's reflective clothing...I can only tell where the dog is when his eyes glow...this obviously doesn't help with issue #1
#3 The guy can't freaking reel in his dog!  The dog has swung wide many times and nearly nailed me

And to give you an idea of how bad my eyesight really is in the dark...I delivered to a customer today, and she was waiting for me at her side door...I was staring right at her as she was talking to me, and couldn't see a damn thing,.  She scared me so badly because I couldn't see her, I jumped >.<

I miss the snow....I was freezing while I delivered, but the light reflecting off the snow made it brighter so I could see :-/

Anyway, this was my quick rant.  And before ya'll tell me to "Call animal control" I did.  They won't do a damn thing because the dog was "Under control" (Yeah right) and he didn't actually bite me.  Nevermind that the dog actively aggresses against me with no provocation....

[:@]errr...and they tell me I'm mean for using a prong on my dog, at least she in under control and calm.  I think it's more crule to use a flexi on a dog who needs to have more structure than that!

In my experience, you have a dog that you can physically control, and you learn to body block really well[;)] BOTH of my dogs are human aggressive, given the right circumstances. Emma is almost fully recovered (she bites two of her vets, but the rest of them are ok, and she hasn't bitten anyone in over a year, now, so I feel pretty safe with her..... she's growling now, too!).  Teenie is a horrible, rotton little dog, and may never fully recover, which is why she is on lead any time she's off my property. I couldn't handle a large dog that's as aggressive as either of them were, at first.  I only weigh 110 pounds. A 75 pound dog, lunging like Teenie used to lunge, would probably pull me down. It would be stupid for me to try to manage a large, human aggressive dog, so I don't even try it[;)]

There's very little actual driving involved.  The majority is walking
