    brag brag brag!

So on our walk this morning (I walk Marlowe, DH walks Conrad, we take different routes), someone with a picture-perfect blue merle aussie stopped us to ask what Marlowe is and to tell me that he's gorgeous.

Wow. Not to like totally live vicariously through my dogs, but....that was an awesome start to my day!

What is the most blush-inducing thing that someone has said to you about your dog/s?

And rightly deserved, Marlow is just the cutest thing! Those ears make me smile everytime I see one of your posts, I wanna kiss that wet nose! I bet he is a cuddler too!

My favorite compliment was when Rory's vet said that just by looking at her you can tell I dont feed her human food and that she gets plenty of exercise. She said Rory has a "athlete's heart" I dont know what it is but it made me smile for a whole week, ha ha!

I was tickled pink when my new agility trainer said that "Scout is quite athletic. She could do very well at agility".

Especially because she does not hand out compliments much!

    Marlowe is gorgeous!

I was walking Rupert down our road (out in the country, but paved) once when there was a road bicycle race going on. Since it was a long distance kind of race, the racers were pretty spaced out and it seemed to be more recreational. Anyway, every time bikes would go by, I would step off the road and make Rupert heel and sit/stay. Many people commented on how cute he was, how well-behaved he was, what kind of dog he was, that sort of thing. Once after a couple of bikers passed and we started walking again, one of the guys said to the other, "You can tell that dog really loves her." I just about turned into a pile of mush right on the spot! My heart melted. Of course I know Rupert loves me, but for someone else to see it just by looking at him for a few seconds as they zip by on a bike... it's just priceless.

    Oh Marlowe, you handsome boy!

When I fist got Ace from the shelter, he was frightened of everything and very timid.  Fast-forward a little over a year later and we are at the vet for his yearly checkup.  The first thing the vet says to me is, I remember this dog from when you first brought him in, and he was just so scared.  Now his whole demeanor is different, he is so much more relaxed and happy -- I could see it in the waiting room even before I called you back and started interacting with him.  He said I'd done a great job with Ace and diagnosed him as "a happy, healthy dog."  I was so proud I felt like I might burst!

People stop me all the time to say that Riley is really cute.  People even stop in their cars and roll down the windows, and others just slow down and point through the glass!

not too many people around here are in love with berserker, other than children. ;purebred bird dogs and large breeds like rotts and gsd's seem to get the most love. once at a flea market an old guy asked what type of dog he was and said he thought he was beautiful, he said he especially loved the black on him, i guess for poor berserk thats as good as it gets. but every time we walked by that guy he stared longingly at my dog, was really sweet.

We've been told on several occasions by different people that Trey is the prettiest dog they've ever seen.  That always makes me smile.  Our neighbor, whose father breeds shelties is in love with Trey and comes to see him quite frequently.

Nikki gets tons of compliments at the vet's, she thinks she owns the place.  All the techs wait for her to come in and baby her.  It's cute.

Harry gets comments on his ears and how cute he is.

We took Beau and Harry to Petsmart the other day and this girl working at the groomers kept pointing at Beau and finally came out to pet him.  She was a big fan of papillons and thought he was gorgeous.  She wanted to know if he was a show dog, because she said he was the best looking representative of a papillon she'd ever seen.  That made me smile quite a bit.  Then she held him a bit and decided he was also a sweetie.  [:)]

great feel good isn't it?  Congrats and BTW I think both your boys are very handsome
I must say that I love when people ask what breed Bugsy is (pound mutt) and remark that he is a great looking dog
Best ever was when I took him to the Raleigh Christmas Parade (which is a decent size parade, several hours and @40k in attendance) and I lost track of how many people remarked how gorgeous he was and wanted to pet him - AND he let them without being the crazy pup he is. It was over 50 people easy
He has had so many allergy problems and the early demodex that it makes me proud when they say he has such a  shiny coat!
    ah nice thread
