To those who are concerned about Tink

I also stayed out of the other thread, because I was embarrassed by the turn it took. I'm so sorry for the way your personal life was treated on the forum. I think too often we forget that we are typing about people's lives. I really hope you give the forum another chance in the future. I always enjoyed reading your posts. You seem like a very dedicated mom to Tink and I wish you well in the future.

I stayed out of that thread, as well, in order to not add acrimony. But the OP came in here with a problem with her misunderstood pup, (not the pup's fault), and a seemingly disagreeable and napoleanic husband. And she asked for sympathy and help. And a number of people felt that he should not have the final say and that marriage is a partnership, etc. We made comments about the personal life since it seemed crucial to the problem. And we sometimes react with advice that is affected by our love for dogs, who are truly innocent in all this, as well as views sharpened by our own sense of what goes wrong in relationships. I think most were just trying to help, trying to keep a puppy off of death row, trying to give the OP a sense of what fairness should be, both ways. We can't stop you from leaving but people did try to help, even if they reacted off of their own past experiences.

Glad that things are going well.  Sounds like you have a lot on your plate.  Just take care of your family, including the dog you love too!!!  Best wishes.

I also am so glad everything has worked out for your dog and your family, and am sorry if I said anything to offend you.

and a seemingly disagreeable and napoleanic husband

    Ron,

As it cost the loss of a member, and caused that member to feel upset, I doubt the insults and accusations towards her husband accomplished much more than making the person who typed them feel better. I for one certainly do not think they need be continued here, either.

i am deeply sorry that you had a bad enough experience on the forum to make you no longer want to be part of it, but your dog is safe at home and that is all that matters, i am so happy for you and tink that crate training is working! maybe sometime in the future you might come back and update...

I'm happy to hearing your having great success with crate training and hopefully soon she will be housebroke in no time. All though I'm deeply sorry to see that you decide to leave the forum due to bad expences. I haven't seen it and I don't think I want to see it.  I do hope that you will be able to come back later on to least keep us updated on Tink and maybe some pictures too.

And I shouldn't have posted here, as my point was still missed, including my use of the word "seemingly". He might be an alright guy but the OP led some to believe otherwise.

I, for one, am glad things are working out. And I'm sorry your friend didn't want to stay.
