Strange game of fetch

Okay, so I've mentioned in the past that Romy had some resource aggression and I couldn't throw the ball for Romy and Winston at the same time. Well, tonight they seemed to work out a very strange arangement. In the past Romy would be lazy and just let me throw the ball for Winston, but occasionally she'd get excited and want to run after it, too. When that happened I'd hold Winston by the collar and tell him to stay and throw it for Romy a few times. Well, Romy never really ever caught on to fetch. She loves to run after it and grab it, but she always drops it halfway back. So I started letting Winston go grab the ball from where she dropped it and bring it back. We wound up playing like that for quite a while and I didn't even have to hold Winston. He just picked up on the odd game and played along. It was so goofy I couldn't help but giggle at them. [8D]

That's funny. Izzy and Harley do sort of the same game. Harley LOVES fetch but will hardly ever bring the ball all the way back. If he did, he wouldn't let go of it b/c he also loves a good game of tug of war. When we got Izzy, who I might add is very bossy, she goes and pretty much takes the ball from Harley but it is at about the point he would have dropped it to begin with. Sometimes they even play a little game of tug of war before she really takes it from him. It works out well for both of them b/c they both get what they want out of play from each other.

Any chance you could get Winston to come up here and teach one of my dogs that trick. I think they have all pretty much got Romy's end of it. Although come to think of it Onyx will take it from Keira and take it back to the place I had originally thrown it..."Mom put it over here, now leave it or she's gonna get mad!" I usually just play with the tiny little dried up apples at the park.

That's hilarious! They're so much entertainment, aren't they?

Later after I posted that they decided they wanted to take turns again, because Romy wanted to show me that she COULD bring it all the way back to me. Silly things. At least I know that if Romy decides not to bring it back I have someone to run up and get it for me. Although I'm sure I could use the extra exercise myself. [

Now lets not be selfish! I mean we are out there for the sake of the dogs. We shouldn't go stealing their exercise if we can help it! lol

Yes Onyx has a certain stubborn streak in her that she tries to push on my willing Keira baby. She hates it when Kiera chases a laser, wrestles with Crusher or chases her tail. Fortunately Keira is part horse and can carry a biting Onyx a long way on her back to get to where she wants to go.

Laser fighting sounds just like our house. Eli and Mocha fight over who gets it first usually Mocha gets ticked off and goes to my closet and pouts inside. While Blue and Eli take turns chasing the laser around. Now if only I could remember to get new batteries now.

Psst ...dont bother getting new batteries, just get a new laser. Its cheaper. Batteries for those things cost like 15 bucks!

No wonder why I always forget to buy those stupid batteries! Still wish I could find the other laser that still works
