    That must have been me!![;)]

We had a neighbor who's great dane would poop on our street (dead end - one lane) and we all had to drive through each load (hugh piles) to get up and down the street.  I kept a shovel by my driveway and every morning would walk into the street pick up the poop and fling it on her car!!!!  Driving down the street with dog poo stuck to your tires and thumping all over was gross, not to mention dog crap all over your street!!  Thankfully she moved soon after.  My other neighbors use to watch me do this and clap.

Would be a great idea if I actually knew who is letting their dog poop on my lawn.

well signs are no good since stray or wondering dogs cannot read. haha!

no, but seriously, i have a strip of grass along the sidewalk that people would always let their dogs go on (can you believe it!!  right infront of me)  so what i did was put up a small 12" tall wire fence from the hardware store around the grass.  i have not seen any pooh since, and i have seen that wondering dogs, oddly enough, choose not to jump the small fence, they just run right past.

This is my favorite indiscreet "no poopin" sign!

haha, reminds me of the sign in one of my neighbour's yard (they have a cat version too). It's basically a gravestone that says:

    Here he lies,
    Cold and hard,
    The last damn dog
    That pooped in my yard

I have the same problem...except with cats
These cats don't care, they'd come on your grass right in front of you and do their business.  I find myself stopping whatever I'm doing to chase these cats back down the street.
These cats don't know that I have dogs now...I can't wait for the fun to begin.
