Dog rubs her head on the floor

My dog does a weird thing.   She will rub her face and her ears on the floor (all hard floors, no carpets).   I'm afraid she is going to hurt herself as she smashes her face into the floor.    I don't think it is her ears because she is never scratchs at them or shows any sign of discomfort.   She'll definately do this if her face is wet (rain, bathtime, etc) but she does it at least one a day regardless.   Is this normal?    Here is a picture of her after her bath rubbing her face all over the not so clean floor.

Presely does the same thing - inside and outside on th egrass. I think it is because she has an ich she can't scratch though...

If our mix gets ONE drop of water on her anywhere she MUST rub just like that all over to remove it. She will do it anywhere....dirt, sand, floor anywhere. The water MUST be removed...lol! If your dog does it once a day I'd see if it was in relation to drinking water and getting her muzzle or chest wet as a result.

Phew!  Good to know she isn't crazy!   And she'll stick her face under the faucet outside to drink from it too..  Silly dog.
The first time she did that it was the first weekend we had her and she was so little.   She was rolling around on the floor and I saw a spider near her so I thought for sure she had gotten bit and was having some kind of reaction.   Geez.  I picked her up and checked her out (certainly can't pick her up anymore!)  Then she looked at me like "What's the big deal? I was just rolling around on the floor".
