Thank you everyone for being her for me and my family. I appreciated the thoughts and also the stories that let me know that I was not alone in this. We are doing much better today. I am doing better too. I was really attached to Motor since I had gotten more opportunities to get to know her. It has been many years since I had to deal with a pet's death. Also discovering that passing right when I woke up, was also not the best way to get the news.
Yesterday, I was concerned about what to do about the Sebastian and having a cat named Motor situation. Static, the youngest of our cats, put me in my place last night. He threw up more than once last night and I started getting very worried about him. It dawned on me that I have the other cats to take care of here and now. I didn't know what caused Motor's death and here I was concerned about the Sebastian/Motor situation. I had scrubbed the room down with disinfectant and had handled the litter box, water and food dishes that same morning before anyone went in there. Anyway, Static made me realize that there are other pets to be concerned about and also appreciative of right now.
BTW, Static is fine. He is our forager cat. He eats off of everything. Yesterday, he got a hold of some chicken fried steak leftover from lunch. This caused him to get an upset tummy. He is back to his old hijinks as of this morning. I awoke to him eating his cat food and he was purring when I came by to say morning.
As for the Sebastian/Motor situation, I am not going to do anything about it. We either will get a "calling" that there is a cat in need of a nice home at the shelter or one will just pop up on our doorstep like Static did.
Thank you everyone again for your thoughts and prayers. Motor has undoubtedly been greeted at the Bridge by my special dog Topaz, and my childhood cats Pebbles and Runtley among others.
