How am I going to hold my tongue??

How am I going to hold my tongue??

I'm going to be grooming 2 bichons on Friday.  The woman e-mailed me a couple of weeks ago, said she had 2 that needed grooming, and also wondering if I knew anyone looking for bichon puppies, because she had 2 left.   We've been e-mailing back and forth to make the appointment.  In my last e-mail I asked her basic questions such as the names of the dog, ages, medical issues etc.  She e-mailed me back that the mother just turned 1 on the same days that the puppies turned 8 weeks and that the father was 8 months oldAngry.

I'm usually not one to get on people about where they get their puppies and such, but this means that poor puppy was bred before she was 9 months old!  To me that's just plain cruel.  I don't want to be nasty, but I really feel the need to say something (even though its not my place.).

I think that for the better of your business you dont have a choice =( sorry. I catn imagine how frusterating it is going to be for you but MAYBE, just maybe she will have a question that you could reply to with a answer that invloves her breeding her dog to young. I cant think of a question that would warrant such a answer though =( sorry again
But unfortunatly the dead has been done. Ooh wait, what if you make a remark with good intentions but assuming the breeding was a accident? She'll then question why you assumed it was a accident THEN you could provide her with reasons as to why she made a ignorant choice!
Lastly maybe you could warn her of impending health problems to look out for that could be a result of too early breeding!

You could be passive-aggressive and make a fuss over *your* error, as in:

"Oh, how silly. I have her age written down as one year old, but that couldn't be. That would mean that this girl would have been pregnant at only nine months, when she's still growing herself! How old is she again?"

Do you think she's running a breeding operation, or just decided to breed one litter?  If you don't think she's running a business, I think I'd leave the early breeding alone and try to give her some information about why the dogs now should all be fixed now.  You probably have only so much goodwill to make suggestions or criticize . . . there's nothing to be done about the past breeding but maybe you could help prevent another litter.
