I don't see anything wrong with getting inspiration from books or the internet. Apparently you have a skill and shouldn#%92t have to copy a photo, but create your own interpretation. Just my two cents worth.   I know some guy at the dog park took a photo of my dog and entered him in a photo contest without my permission.
